Repair costs are sounding like a royal pain. I understand the need for a credit sink, but I tend to prefer sinks that add non-monetary value to play as opposed to sinks that just take money for no reason. Maybe if repairing had some sort of benefit to balance it out it would be easier to swallow. for instance, having a "well maintained" bonus to increase the base stats of equipment that are above a certain percentage repaired.

Hard to expect our Adminpony to do that... Welp, you'll gain forge level whenever you repair and it stays with you for good. so there's your compensation for repairing your equip. Also, the discovery of the catalysts now allows the first five upgrades levels to be forged in binding free. Rare armaments is another story though.

Well, that is indeed some quick and dirty patch. Hope I don't get banned for my personal opinion, but what is the point here? All about reducing the credits gained as far as I see.
Repairs: Why cant I just have a simple "Repair all" button like in all other games I prefer to play? Is it because the system introduced is quite too complex for that? Even in HP/MP/SP can be refreshed by "refresh all". Making it a bit more transparent for using Low vs High gear. Just running around in EXQ MAX gear with a fine ETH seems to be the most cost efficient way here. So I hope to snipe some 4 PAB EXQ gear to replace my MAGs. Damn me, but I even thought about getting NAKED to do just the first two arena challenges on easy diff just to have a certain drop chance^^ (well, that even works^^)
Cash Cow Ambush: You will not hurt the people with billion credits here. You do not motivate people to play when you sicken them with high costs for playing their 1k rounds a day without proper "satisfaction" (credits, drops, you name it). To keep your Catgirls and Donators happy, do what every pay site does: - decrease the number monster slots for non-gold-stars to 10 - increase monster hunger by 100% - offer a shop to Donators only having a decent price tag on every stuff you can think about, but make it bound so it can not be sold - reduce ANY credits given at the Dawn event to -0- exept for Donators, but be careful not to spill out zillions of credits a day (inflation) - reduce HATH generating items (cookies, gems, etc) active time to -1- year
Parte et rege So as far as I see there are already a few groups of players here: a. Casual b. Professional c. Donators (both a. and b.) You do not to need listen to group a, since they do not generate cash or bits for anything. Group b may considers to pay one day, so keep those folks happy. Group c pushes their lobby in their own sub-forum, which is a must to read. Keeping group b happy is the utmost concern, since they may are the next Donators. Question yourself if you hit the mark with that patch.
Black Friday Patch aka HV 1.0.0 Reducing cash may be done by a simple thing: make it obsolete ^^ Form a different one, name it e.g. Gold and let everything be paid in the new currency. Make a shop for Donators where they can exchange existing credits to Gold until a given date. Restart for all players except for donators. Freeze assets by making them bound to the player. New drops may then be unbound again. Feel free to make currencies obsolete anytime you see a need for it.
I am just a Casual player. With that patch I will be even more casual, since I do not want to pay 25k a day for repairs. That is more than the arenas I play generate.

I can't afford to upgrade anything yet still, due to all my credits going to upkeep the food, and moral of my monsters, and henjutsu, so I can't really comment on how helpful forge exp is. The five early binding free upgrades would be nice though.. except that superior equipment no longer salvages into upgrade materials (I salvaged a few superiors today just to see if it was a fluke the first time. none gave anything but scrap). Saving 5 bindings per category does not come close to a fair trade for every other material becoming MUCH harder to get. This post has been edited by galdon: Jun 10 2014, 22:40
