Hmm....I'm not sure. I've noticed it when I play GTA 4 sometimes, or maybe FIFA10. DVDs seem to be okay, but sometimes live t.v. makes it happen. It's quite common in the wee hours of the morning, especially if I've just had a bath, leading me to believe it's something to do with ambient heat. I put it on standby for a minute or so and it goes away, for about the same amount of time. I was squeak free for about 5/6 months after the beating I gave it, but we're having a warm summer here and it's back.

The tube probably just has a bunch of shit in it and needs to be cleaned out.

Yeah, dust, dirt, gunk, what have you. But they have to de-ionize the tube which could fry the damn thing and make it not work, anyway. It's always a crapshoot.
