Fuck, I was outside on the back patio a little while ago with my cat and while she was napping in the shade, I turned around and saw a squirrel run down the path along the back of the house!

At first I thought it was a rat but no, it was definitely a squirrel. Never saw one of those in the backyard before. I tried to find where it went around in the side yard but it disappeared.

I know we have squirrels in the nearby canyons and parks around here but I've never seen them in the residential areas. Damn, those things can fuck up your house if they ever get inside the walls or in the attic.

There are a few neighborhood cats around here that might eat them. And I'm pretty sure our next door neighbors still have their bird feeder up so the squirrels are probably attracted to that.

The man from next door came by and told us that this one tree in his side yard that hangs over our fence is going to get trimmed tomorrow. I hope there aren't a nest of squirrels in it. O_o

Someone down the street from me who was raised in Arkansas eats squirrels. True story.

Squirrels are extremely common in England. It sounds like you've got some strange species of it near you though, the ones here are shit-scared of everything and rarely, if ever, go near places of human-specific activity like residential areas, roads etc.

This squirrel saw me and just went on its merry way bounding down the path like it was no big deal. I was like WTF? It was a slender gray squirrel. Come to think of it, my aunt who lives across the street from me saw a squirrel in her driveway a few months ago.

The squirrels at the parks are quite brave. Once my mom and I were eating lunch down by the marina and I held out a french fry for this one squirrel and it ate it out of my hand. It was a fat fucker, too.
