I've seen plenty of rodent death like that (no parasites, though) thanks to my cat. One summer it was so bad, we didn't have Auschwitz, we had Maousechwitz. I dug a pit out in the backyard to bury the little mouse bodies.

You know how sometimes cats don't always eat the mice but they bring it to you still alive and maimed as a present? I heard they do that because they want to teach you to kill the mouse, too, like a momma cat would do.

I just remembered when my cat would being me half-dead mice and rats and refuse to eat them and how it would gross me out. When she wasn't looking, I'd fling them out the window into the neighbor's yard. xD

My old Tabby used to bring my mum dead spiders. She'd leave them on the step and we thought she was looking for a treat. My mum's the only person who's more afraid of spiders than I am.
She was never very fond of Tabby, but she used to make sure they were together whenever my mum went out to get something from the shed.
