I like V bodies the best because they're streamlined and fast. I have a Jackson Randy Rhodes sharktail V neck-thru body with an original Floyd Rose locking tremolo system.

But the sweetest guitars I ever played were a Gibson Flying V that my friend had and a Gibson Les Paul that my cousin's friend had when they were in a band. Like butter. But I guess it's whatever you prefer. We all like different styles. I also like other body styles, too, whatever catches my eye. Also, I used to have a 12-string acoustic but I got rid of it. I wish I had another one.

Isn't the so-called "speed" of an electric guitar more dependent upon the bridge tension and the neck action than the composition or shape of the body?

Body shape is just for looks, as far as I can tell, the tone comes from the drilled channels and the pick-ups, so being picky about the body is pretty much like going after a person based on their appearance, which, while extremely superficial, isn't uncommon.

But by the same coin, you can say that I take my guitars like I enjoy my woman, full-figured, sassy and soft-spoken... until you switch her on.
