QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ May 8 2010, 09:56) Get out of here, Cyriel, you butt-muncher. >:(
Such love for one's fellow man. I can feel it in the pit of the cold, black, empty space where my heart should be.

Blanket was crying tears of relief (I speculatively feign), among many other mixed feelings—oh, how he must've longed for that day—the day he might finally cast away his mask to reveal his true self. Call it a hunch—I say the kids weren't calling the shots, but they wanted MJ deeeeaaad... Then there's the in-home family doctor: Let's not put aside his dubious demeanor, or unwillingness/hesitance to comment. Were his actions truly a case of accidental malpractice? Could it have been a conspiracy? Did he merely fail to survey and comply to Michael's needs, somehow, or might there have been ulterior motives for slipping up? I wonder.
Urgent matters and dire circumstances often go overlooked, when there's a powerful figure assuming control. If Michael Jackson had been a covert tyrant, was this doctor an altruistic hero? If, let's say...he philanthropically acted in compliance to aid children in utter distress, then perhaps what he did was an implored act. I have no beef with Michael, but I have my qualms. The wavering stigma attached to his name which could lead him to prosecution was always canceled out by his fame, whether or not his reputation became deplorable, due to the many testimonial accounts of his alleged victims.
What if the doctor himself had discovered for sure—without any way of disclosing incriminating evidence or proof—that Michael was a heinous monster, and was taking the law into his own hands, becoming executioner and abolitionist. Like, if there were no way to end the terror, without going against the law, or deceiving society... He may have seen assassination (euthanization, guised as sedation gone astray) as the only possible way he could be of any help in protecting kids from a child molester's true prospects to do harm and consecutively get away with it, using his over-the-top popularity and extreme monetary influences as the glorified "King of Pop"...
Albeit the doctor being a little shady, himself, all I wonder now is whether he truly only had Michael's interests in mind? Either way, he was definitely an arbiter, who, while going against his medical regulations, was abetting "someone" in privacy. But was it for selfish reasons, or was he justified in what he did, yet unable to reveal his true excuse, lest he be perceived a lunatic, or even become socially assassinated, beyond his career coming to an end. Willingly divulging the truth can be a lethal mistake. Vindictiveness wreaks havoc to expel not the answer, but the person behind its revealing. And even if the truth comes out, it can quickly be torn to pieces, and left in the air for the rumor-mongers to laugh and sneer upon, as they revel in it—forever questionably anecdotal, at best, and perhaps never to find closure.
MJ's children would likely resign themselves to silence, publicly...but the doc may have anticipated this, having had an exclusive inside peek at the whole of the matter, had they the courage to only confide in him alone. If he were a good man, unquestioningly true to his conscience, and infiltrating a realized worst-case-scenario, then perhaps he would sooner tacitly service the continually victimized children, by killing Michael, if he were unquestionably intent on carrying out further child abuse. Disobeying Michael would surely be dangerous business, but he found the opportune moment and did his thing, while thinking about the welfare of the innocent... Or he may have simply been trying to abide Michael's every whim, risking his career for the temptingly lucrative business, and by chance fucked it all up royally for himself. Too bad for him, then. But should such events have been "planned", as to betray Michael, then I would say it all fell through quite nicely, and at long last, the children are released from chaos.
I assume it would be natural, though, for such a young and innocent child as Blanket to grieve, after the loss of his parent, despite whatever circumstances he may have been living under—disturbingly harsh or fabulously grand. After losing a parent, it's not easy to accept the sudden change. Whether consistently good or bad, a child seeks to belong, and have a sense of who they are, based on the initial family that wants them to be a part of their home. When one loses their guardian, they're deprived of whatever former crutch they had in life, and must inevitably adapt and depart alone to find new gratification/fulfillment, be that a new home or developing a systematic way to cope with living on your own. The disadvantages and ways to overcome them are many. If your parent did their job as properly as they could before leaving you, you'll hopefully be secure enough to live as your own individual, without having to outsource yourself and remain co-dependent forever, unless you find someone you're happy to be an extension of—someone who fills the hollowed out void you'll feel. It's gotta suck feeling like a fake vessel, without the familiarity that once gave you purpose.
I try to look at he best and worse case scenarios, but the majority of society would likely deter the true relevance of either possibility, relying on popular misconception, often times. Humanity takes a step backward, when continuously glorifying their idols, even in the face of their misdeeds... So while I may have been on to something in this rant, it's a dead-end trail, becoming mere unvouchable, while perhaps plausible, yet certifiably deniable gossip, at this point. Even should it be relevantly close to fact, or even a revelation—the king is dead, and beyond our trial. To interrogate the facts surrounding him now would probably be fruitless, but we can still sympathize and pity the poor children he may have put his hand to, whom are now left behind (I know I'm doing a lot of assuming, judging him a terrible creep, and whatever, but still...the guy's too damn ambiguous, if not so absolutely flaming conspicuously suspicious of being guilty).

I don't expect a whole lot of people; they'll do things their own way, on their own precious time. I perform for myself, almost solely. My ego could care less whether anybody gives a shit, anymore. You'll live a botched life if you curb your enthusiasm, just to placate the people with little brains.

Yeah, but I took the screenshot. It's not about the achievement, it's about the Kodak Moment. ... I just made myself feel old.
