That sounds familiar. I kind of have this thing where I'll get a cool sensation when I hear or read something stupid. Not just anything stupid, mind you, but certain specific things. Like this guy needlessly explaining how to operate a pen. And yeah, some engrish posts will work as well, as do some clueless newbie posts.

I have another fetish that blows doors off that shit. I have this weird fascination with shipping tape. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

One time I bought a squishy pillow from Bed Bath & Beyond and I wanted to take some of the filling out. It was stuffed with some weird pellet filling that was shaped like little tiny round balls and the tag had a warning that you could choke on them if you inhaled them.

Since I didn't have a yard work/surgical style face mask, I used a tissue to cover my nose and mouth and used strips of shipping tape to secure it to my face. It worked but the tape irritated my skin.

I opened the pillow along one of the seams to take some of the stuffing out because it was too full and I was going to sew it back up. It was a small square decorative pillow that I wanted to use in my car as a back support because squishy pillows are very soft and comfortable.

When I took a handful of filling out, the little ball pellets went up in the air all over the place from the static cling and stuck to my hands and went all over the carpet. When I was done, I cut off a strip of shipping tape and used the sticky side to pick up the filling off the floor.

EDIT: I looked it up and squishy pillows are filled with small polystyrene beads. And I'm never fucking with that shit again.

Did anyone ever really want karma in the first place, or is it just one of those unnecessary, innocuous positive reinforcement things that means absolutely nothing to anyone, but it's pushed and pushed upon the denizens of whatever ecosystem it thrives in until it's basically retrofitted into the behavior of a constituency's necessities?
