Yes, it's a bummer about the KE thing, but do you really wanna sacrifice having so much extra power over one negative aspect of the system?

Think of it this way: the people who deserve it more will be able to get it more freely, while the rest of us can go about our sharing business with a small resetting penalty. From what I understand, this KE countdown resets itself every 30 or so days, so... I can't believe I'm saying this, but as long as we keep the karma-whoring down a few notches, we'll barely notice a difference at all.
