Nope, I've never been anything exept atheist after 5 or so, so I never bothered to learn about any religon that much.

ok, I will explain it short as posible, cuzz I also not a fully believer, or have the level of knowledge to talk to much about him.

Jesus is the son of God who came to earth and helped many ppl by realizing miracles, like making one who can't walk, walk, one that can't see, see, one who was on the edge of death, come back to a totally healed and etc.

He died nailed in the cross to forgive our sins, and give us the chance that our souls got to heaven once more.

It's not all the story, it's just a fragment. Sorry that I couldn't help more... but it has been ages since I read from him. I just still kind of believe in him.

I can't help but feel left out in an all christian family, so can somebody here explain the religious significance of easter to me?

Easter is a day where some dude who was thought to be the Messiah was mystically resurrected after his death. Wait, I mean it started as a festival to celebrate the harvest but Christianity did what it does best and strong arms people into believing something else. They said "fuck your harvest, this is the day your lord and savior was resurrected for dying for your sins" and it was good.

This is what some dude named Jesus told me at the Circle K and I believe him because I actually have proof he exists. Yea, I went there... BRING IT ON FUCKERS!

I read yesterday that Easter was likely based on a German "pagan" goddess who's name could be read as Eastre or Eostre. Supposedly this was a holiday with hares and eggs, and it fell on the same timeframe as our current Easter does.

Either way, I don't get how people thought eggs and Jesus being nailed to a cross were similar. Maybe the people nailing him to the cross were in bunny suits?
