When does a word stop being a neologism? Is there a time limit?

Well most become dated after a decade.

I too am quite fond of it. Though I cannot decide whether I favour that the most, or Jurassic Bark or The Luck of The Fryish. That one did make me laugh the most, but the latter two almost brought tears to my eyes. It is a tough choice to be made: drama or comedy? Dramedy? Comma?

Jurassic Bark definitely was the saddest. Luck of the Fryish was definitely more balanced of the three. I'd definitely Insane in the Mainframe was the most hilarious due to it's memorable quotes and Bender's epic portrayal of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Bump Off - To murder, To kill.

Carry a Torch - To have a crush on someone.

Cat's Meow - Something splendid or stylish; The best or greatest, wonderful.

Darb - An excellent person or thing (as in "the Darb" - a person with money who can be relied on to pay the check).

Dame- A Woman

Drugstore Cowboy - a guy that hangs around on a street corner trying to pick up girls.

Dumb Dora - a stupid female.

Fall Guy - Victim of a frame.

Flat Tire - A dull witted, insipid, disappointing date. Same as pill, pickle, drag, rag, oilcan.

Frame - To give false evidence, to set up someone.

Gams - A woman's legs.

Giggle Water - An intoxicating beverage; alcohol.

Gin Mill - An establishment where hard liquor is sold; bar.

Hard Boiled - a tough, strong guy.

I'm so out of it in slang terms that I can't begin to ascertain what the meaning of thuggin' may be. I am aware that it is somehow connected to rap, but I can't tell whether it's a positive or negative thing. So, as with everything else, I will take an arbitrary meaning and assign that to it. Therefore, I am "a member of a religious organization of robbers and assassins in India, suppressed by the British in the 1830s." I can live with that.

The 20s brought us Swing, Jazz, The Great Gatsby, Miss American Pageants, The Theory of Relativity, Insulin, Elevators, Kleenex (the tissue, not the Captain), Organized Crime (my OCD disposition prefers this rather than the disorganized one), Mini Golf (who the hell doesn't love Mini Golf? Seriously, I dislike regular golf, but mini golf is brilliant), Winnie the Pooh (the most lovely of bears), the Television, Mickey Mouse, Orgasms (not actually true - as everyone knows the orgasm was invented in February 15th, 1903; the female orgasm however, is still nonexistent), Bubble Gum, Penicillin, Popeye, Buck Rogers, House Parties (true story), Social Welfare, those sweet hats that make anyone look like a detective, the lovely Depression, and many more.

What does * filter to these days?

If I recall correctly, last time I checked, it filtered to "cutie, I'm a homosexual". Saddest part of this is, I think this change was my fault for trolling some rapper wannabe. Anyway, my point is, I think * should filter to "rapper wannabe."

"cutie, I'm a flaming homosexual" is what it used to be, if we want to be as accurate as possible. That's something I never understood, undermine one minority instead of another. Seems clueless to me.

It currently filters to "bunny" or "bunneh" depending on the spelling. I think an alternate is "hare", but I forget what for.

It's all stupid to me, anyway. I think either all of it is okay or none of it is. Take it out totally, or filter everything, don't be coy.

I also think every letter should be filtered. The only way to defend the ears of the chillun that visit this here forum is to Caesar Cipher every post. I would also approve to filter every post into Ebonics.

But why stop there? We should filter everything into Alien Language 2 from Futurama, but that might offend the extraterrestrials.

And we can't have that.
