Sparta was part of the Trojan war. In fact, the entire Trojan war was fought because of a Spartan (Menelaus, Helen's true husband was coincidentally the ruler of Sparta). It is of course, the Sparta of a different epoch from the Sparta that fought Xerxes and his army (of 300 fame).

This is somewhat disputed. No one really knows if there was a Trojan war, but many scholars do firmly believe there was a great war that took place in Troy, at around the time the Trojan War is said to have happened. Of course, it likely wasn't a dispute over a particularly beautiful woman, not did it happen to have thousands of ships. For all we know it was a war between John Trojanstein and his cousin Greek McAcaian, over the ownership of a particularly beautiful chicken.

God I hated that movie so much.

I can't tell if you're speaking of Troy, Hercules Heracles (let's stay consistent here), or 300. I'm assuming 300, as Hercules Heracles and Troy were a mess of myths and inaccuracies (and thus not fit for Greek Studies). Though I do love the unforgettable scene in Troy where Leonardo DiCaprio and Susan Sarandon kiss.

Are you sure? Because I distinctly remember seeing several senseless scenes with temporally and spatially misplaced characters in that stupid movie.

I have a IRL (undisclosed) reason for not using the Cheshire Cat signature anymore (though I still do love Alice's Adventures Under Ground/In Wonderland). As for Ayumu Kasuga, as much as I greatly enjoy the works of Kiyohiko Azuma (especially the pearl that is Yotsubato), it was time for a change. My favorite character in Azumanga Daioh was always Mr. Kimura, anyways - he just didn't happen to have as cool a pose as Osaka.

Also, if I were to go by favourite anime characters, I'd probably have put Jin from Yu Yu Hakusho instead, so it's not really an all time favourite thing.

That all being said, Ryou is a wonderful character from a wonderful anime/manga (Sketchbook), almost rivaling Azumanga Daioh, so why not? Also, it makes a friend of mine happy. And if that's one thing Noahbody is all about is giving men pleasure*.
