2001 ya Monogatari: It's about time I read some trad Sci-Fi stuff. It's a shame that the Viz localisation omits most of the chapters which were directly inspired by Kubrick's 2001. The character name changes also carried over to the OVAs, despite the names being audibly different.

An interesting read so far, with the MC making the most of his video-game experience to power himself up in as short a time as possible. However, I may eventually drop it once it shifts fully into the battle genre. Fight-oriented works are not exactly my cup of tea.
