Introduced a Vietnamese friend to Kill La Kill, with the appropriate warnings that it's both everything that's great and everything that's wrong with anime.

Seems to be enjoying it so far, but he seems about as weirded out with the level of fanservice as I am.

I think Kill La Kill is still the most recent anime I've watched. I really prefer to read.

The manga is so much better, IMO. Especially once the art style gets hammered down.
Despite the butchered title for the "official" english translation, the translation of the manga itself is of pretty good quality (I'd say better than what we did in most ways).
