Since our beloved Wolfgirl has been burned out with the stress and time constraints of trying to run her free store I came up with a new idea. I gained the go ahead from Tenboro to create a shared account for the sole purpose of allowing a team of players to run a free shop dedicated to helping out new players.

Currently things are in the process of being set up but we really need help!

To become a staff member you must fulfil two requirements:

1. You must be well known in the HV community - sorry, no new players!
2. You must be known to be trustworthy

If you are interested in donating an hour or two to helping the shop from time to time please reply here! Keeping everything public will allow all members to have an input on suitability and help keep everything fair

Knowledge of installing and using scripts within your browser is useful but not critical - full training can be given (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Being able to use scripts will be a requirement if you're adding new items to the shop but if all you do is send items to those who request them there should be no need.

Current Status (Once all elements are "Complete" the freeshop will open)

• Staffing Levels: Adequate - COMPLETE
• Stock levels: Adequate - COMPLETE
• Mooglemail acceptor and ticket counter script: COMPLETE (Thanks to Lement)
• Store Inventory Listing script: 95% finished - ctxl is writing
• Equipment moogling script: COMPLETED (Thanks to Lement)

Our Script Features:
1. Automated mooglemail retriever (Completed) - Reads all mooglemails and accepts items and allocates tickets based on the chart in the shop. Any items that cannot be accepted it will return to sender. Any unknown items will flag up asking if we want to accept them or RTS and how many tickets to allocate if we accept them. Once all mooglemails have been read, the ticket count post in the shop is updated automatically and each user who donated equipment in this run is sent a mooglemail thanking them for their donation and confirming the total number of tickets they earned this time.

2. Equipment Lister (Still under development, currently will not automatically update the posts and requires manual formatting and only works in chrome, not firefox) - One click to create a list of all (unlocked) equipments and automatically update the set of posts in the shop with current stock.

3. Equipment Sender (Completed, but still under development, currently has no sanity checking, banned list, time period checking). Takes a list of all items that area available to send out and their unique identifier (in our case we use the EID of the equipment as this remains the same without fail). When browsing the shop's forum thread it searches for any matching identifiers in posts and allows us to queue the item to send to that person. We can then click "send" to send everything that is queued.

4. Ticket counting excel spreadsheet (Completed). Copy and paste the ticket numbers and username and the spreadsheet will calculate the ticket numbers each person has and the total number of tickets to be entered into the draw at random.org

Having enough time to donate an hour or two a month (or more!) - sending out equipments, receiving equipments from mooglemail and calculating the number of tickets (if we don't have a script to do that yet), updating the shop thread with new items etc. It's more or less anything you want to do to help out (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

as for the potions, health & mana ..thats ok ..i got 16/13k each to discard but only 4k spirit ..ya schould look @ the lvl of the ppl contributing ..just a sugesstion ! if nothing else it will end in a "only high lvl Barriere" no one else could win @ your ticket race ! is this needed for newcommers `?

Once I see what the spread is like I might put in a rule like "Each time you win 500 tickets will be subtracted from your total"

It all depends on how things look. I'll do my best to keep it balanced

You seem very motivated, animeai, and I commend your enthusiasm for this project. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I think there are some minor mistakes in the donation table as follows:

1.) I think the "Cloth" column should read "Cotton".

2.) Most of the numbers in the "Staff" column seem to be reversed.
     Sup Ele 5 <-> Sup Eth 2
     Exq 15 <-> Exq Eth 5
     Mag Ele 30 <-> Mag Eth 25

3.) I think you should accept Sup Ele Bucklers & Kites, and Exq & Exq Ele Bucklers.
     I don't know why you wouldn't. I have only ever used bucklers, until I recently started playing Heavy + Kite.

Also, I guess the link below "OK! I've read all of that... where are the items?!" as well as the heading on post #6 listed as "Cloth/Phase" should read "Cotton/Phase", as well as.

I'm not sure about the "no superiors rule". I started out with crude equipment that I bought in the bazaar, and was really happy to get free superiors from Wolfgirl.

1. Cloth technically includes the old gossamer but I see where you're coming from XD Next time I update the table I'll probably change that.

2. That's correct. Ethereal staffs are nowhere near as valuable as elemental staffs as they don't have bonus spell damage. Although there is an issue there, "Exquisite" should read 5 not 15 lol.

3. Hmmm I was a bit dramatic with that one wasn't I XD. I'll redo the table before we open up. So far no shields have been donated (apart from a couple of sup force from me)

Not using scripts before is no problem, they just save a lot of time. We can either teach you how or you can do things manually lol. I've added you to the prospective list.

Not a problem at all (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) All staff members are more than welcome to request the account login details to check things if necessary. In theory the account shouldn't be used for anything other than sending and receiving items. I have no plans for monsters, to allow users to battle with it etc and a requirement will be that the shop staff members who help out must use an alternative browser to their usual (IE Chrome if they use firefox or vice versa etc) to prevent accidental viewing of gallery images, fighting etc. I want to make sure everything stays above board.

We're shortest on shields for the most part although virtually all armor is a little short on supply if you look at it on a per slot basis. There are new donations that still need adding to the posted lists mind.

You should remove the sig from all the main shop posts to make it look cleaner and if you're using ctxl's shop script why not add the equipment stats to the item posts?

i don't agree. maybe it could be colapsed on less lines but it's in my opinion it isn't so despersive.
as for stats, i think that not all newbies know the meaning of base stats: they still should open the popup to translate into their own levels (hands high for who is able to do it mentally (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), but actually an indication of PABs wouldn't be so bad...
