While I have no authority here, it seems obvious enough to me that the shared free shop should be able to deny requests to anyone, no reason necessary. So, should they choose to, the request does not have to be fulfilled, even provided the requester is in fact obeying the rules.

However, at the time I made the request, I noticed that piyin had denied the request, so I thought I was in the clear to request that item. Now, however, I see other staff members saying shinjix7 should get the item that was requested after all, so I'm confused...

I do remember you saying that if you made a request before reaching veteran level and then after reaching veteran
level after making that request, it is still a valid request, right?
And should I re-quote the current rules again? Because it is in the current rule.

Rules:
3. Your level must be comprised between 30 and 200 to make a request here. Users below level 30 should play the game a little, while users above level 200 should be able to play reasonably well on their own.

4. After level 200 we will qualify you as a Veteran (regardless of whatever rank you display) and you won't be able to use this service anymore. We have no plans to sell equipment/items for credits in the future nor to trade them, regardless of your level.

Scremaz and Revy has already given their approval (yes's):
The majority is in favor of the request, so unless, both Scremaz and Revy retracts their words and veto my request, I don't see any problem to fulfill my request here.

Well.. the reason why i always deny the post made by some dude under level 30... is because as he cant ask for it then, another user at level 30 or upper (BUT UNDER LEVEL 200... to make things clear) can ask for it: asking when you are under level 30 is a rule breaking action... and so the first come first serve thing doesnt apply there.. got it?

that's precisely what they say. and since your request was valid in the moment you put it up - the girl said you were under lv200 and i remember a similar thing, so no problems - i think we should fulfill it. you did it simply because your weekly chance? you did it because you saw you were approaching the cap and wanted a shade while you were still able to do it? not business of mine, really: you followed rules

First of all, I want to thank you, piyin, for sending me my request.
We all appreciate what you do here and the other staff members too, so keep it up and keep at it.

Let us put an end to the debate about the Rules here, for now.
Rules will always have areas to be exploited and loopholes that can bend the rules to the convenience of someone's greed. And I encourage users who come after me, to help FreeSHop fix the Rules and make it better for all who comes later. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Again, thank you FreeSHop and all the staff members who made this place possible, to Scremaz, to WhiteWolfRevy92, and especially to piyin, you all have contributed an endless amount of your time to help the new users to brave the HV. I thought this episode raised a couple of questions, only one of which has been been clarified by the rule change.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but according to Rule #1.3: Your level must be comprised between 30 and 200 to make a request here. Users below level 30 should play the game a little, while users above level 200 should be able to play reasonably well on their own.
Well, at the time of the last request (#6140) I made, I was still at level 200. And I'm sure you can make a request at level 200, right?
If I can't, then there's a need to modify the Rules a little bit here.

2a. made at an acceptable level (eg. level 190 or even 199) but the user did a lot of grinding or real life caught up and the fulfillment was delayed, so the user is at an unacceptable level at the time of fulfillment (eg. level 201 or even 220)
2b. made at an unacceptable level (eg. level 25) but the user was at an acceptable level at the time of fulfillment (eg. level 30)

I didn't think this was the real question, but this is where all the thought and rule changing has been done. Previous practice was that the level must be acceptable at the time of request. Piyin has made it clear with the rule change that the level must remain acceptable at the time of fulfillment too.
