Of all the Bond movies, this one has the most doom-filled opening music, at least as far as I watched them.
Then you look at that hotel at the end, and it's like... there are no surveillance cameras. There is no telemetry from the cars. No "smart" phones to spy on them. No face recognition technology, no automated license plate readers. Everyone is free to go anywhere they want, with no one tracking them. That's the way it was all throughout human history, up until the past few years. And it's getting exponentially worse, fast.
Surveillance technologies should be completely illegal. But with a corrupt government that wants you to be tracked, who is going to make them illegal?
