Hey guys,

I was thinking of starting a shop (if i have anything really worth selling). Unfortunately, I never stay caught up with item values and such, and noticed no stickied threads or anything on guides for pricing items or rough values. Sooooo... I thought why not start one. However, this will require a large group effort especially from the more experienced players.

So if you guys could, I'd like to see you guys reply with tips and tricks to figuring out rough values of items. example.... 3 PAB with base values 3.5 = 100000 credits roughly. Stuff like that. And as we gain a good chunk of information I'll compile it in a notebook here, and then edit this post to reflect the accumulative information periodically.

Hope this can build some momentum, the ultimate goal is to try and help newer players learn how to price and value their own equipment for sale/trade and also to alleviate the demands on the experts with price checks. so they can focus more on important stuff like giving advice to new players on gear loadouts and stats etc.

Thank you everyone for reading and for any advice or info given to help with the building of this guide. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

not an easy task... all i say is that the number of PABs is indeed an index of the quality of the item; also, for a main hand weapon the suffix 'of slaughter' is preferred, and thus more worthy than the others; for an offhand weapon either the suffixes 'of balance' or 'of nimble' are very good (and thus again more worthy than others)... ethereal weapons are very longed for void strike and no compromise stats, thus again one lenght above the others (excepted for staffs); other useful (and profitable) prefixes are hallowed and demonic; for armor instead the elemental mitigation plays a lesser role...

i'm also interested in this topic, so i hope to have broken the ice at least...

[edit]: oh, this could also be the official 'price check' thread, since it's a bit troubling to search in the 'ask the experts'...

Yea, that's basically the goal. I hope to make this into a guide to help ppl decide on their own prices, but if they need, they can also ask for pricing here instead of in the experts thread.

Thanks for the starting info. It's information I've kinda known but added a good amount I didn't know, and like you said.... I hope that helps break the ice. It's a good starting point.

I don't know much either, but it seems that the equipment range also helps, especially for weapons and shields...

In general, anything below "Superior" quality is pretty-much worthless... unless it's a discontinued item. Even then, you'll only get "collectors" interested in them.

Superior items pretty-much need to be "Ethereal" for weapons & "Phase", "Shade" or "Power" for armors. "of the Shadowdancer" is generally preferred for Shade, with "Fleet" a little behind, while "of Slaughter" is generally preferred for Power, with "of Protection" a little behind.

For Leather & Shade, 4 PABs are almost a requirement... unless the armor is much higher quality or max/near-max in other ways.

For Plate & Power, 3 PABs are almost a requirement... again, unless the armor is much higher quality or max/near-max in other ways.

Someone put up some info on Phase gear & Staves in the "Ask the Experts" thread... maybe somebody could copy it to here?

Perhaps somewhat off topic, but I'm trying to figure out where/how to get a list of item codes. Wanna make a small shop thread, but do it right and list the codes.

I'd probably say...price changes quickly across patches.
It's better to check the auctions and see the offering price for similar equips.

Not that I'm against the idea, but this has been done several times before. Each time it's the patch which ruin everything.

What is PAB ?

I don't remember what the "P" stands for, but the "AB" is Attribute Bonus.

Basically, equipment gives you stat bonuses (like +Strength, etc). The more, and higher, stat bonuses... the better the equipment is thought of. Of course, for weapons the Damage trumps most things... but a weapon with 900 damage and great bonus to 4 stats will generally be more valuable than a weapon with 1000 damage and only a minor bonus to 1 stat.

Hover your mouse over the item, then press the "c" key on your keyboard. A pop-up window will appear for the weapon with the link.

Primary Attribute Bonus?

Anyway, I'd updated my sig with my equip links earlier today so got that down fine. What I don't understand is where you can get item codes like, for instance, Wolfgirl has listed in her shop (https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=116127):

SHORTSWORD'S

[OH-S-01] Superior Demonic Shortsword of Slaughter
[OH-S-02] Superior Arctic Shortsword of Slaughter
[OH-S-03] Superior Astral Shortsword of Balance
[OH-S-04] Superior Demonic Shortsword of Slaughter
[OH-S-05] Superior Hallowed Shortsword of Slaughter
[OH-S-06] Superior Shortsword of the Battlecaster
[OH-S-07] Exquisite Shortsword of Slaughter
[OH-S-08] Exquisite Shortsword of the Vampire
[OH-S-09] Superior Shortsword of the Battlecaster
[OH-S-10] Exquisite Shocking Shortsword of Slaughter

...and so on. Where are the bracketed codes coming from?

You'll need something like a equip shop helper.

Oh wow, that's part of the embedded bbcode for the items themselves. Now I see it. The item coding scheme makes sense to do, but somehow I can't seem to understand the execution - like what item gets what code assigned and how.

NM... sounds like the code is autogenerated by some algorythm applied per item based on the equipment scale script. Or not, not sure at this minute. =P

Okay, think I understand it now. It's just a categorization system the script uses and seems to be custom. Reading some shops and seeing the difference in items:

[C-P-24] Superior Phase Pants of Heimdall PMI: SMAX-0.8 MA: SMAX EC: SMAX-0.3
[C-P-25] Superior Phase Shoes of Surtr PMI: SMAX-0.2 MA: SMAX-0.6 EC: SMAX-0.8
[C-P-26] Superior Phase Shoes of Niflheim PMI: SMAX-0.6 MA: SMAX-0.5 EC: SMAX-1.0
[L-S-01] Superior Shade Helmet of the Fleet PMI: SMAX-1.3 Acc: SMAX-1.2 ADB: SMAX EC: SMAX-1.5 RC: SMAX-4.9
[L-S-02] Superior Shade Breastplate of the Arcanist PMI: SMAX-0.4 Acc: SMAX-3.1 ADB: SMAX-0.1 MA: SMAX-2.0 EC: SMAX-0.8 RC: SMAX-7.3
[L-S-03] Superior Shade Gauntlets of Negation PMI: SMAX-1.5 Acc: SMAX-1.9 ADB: SMAX-1.8 EC: SMAX-1.5 RC: SMAX-4.9

Seems easy; Cotton-Phase-## and Light-Shade-## and so on. Reading up answered all I needed to know. Thanks for pointing out the MSH Varst.
