finally getting around to reading inheritance from Christopher Pauloni. I didn't want to read it without first re-reading the three books that came before it but I just don't have time at the moment. Although I'm sure I'll probably re-read them once I finish inheritance because that's how these sorts of things tend to work...

Well, I just finished reading The Long War By Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. It was an interesting read, but felt very much like a 'middle novel' in that a lot of it just seemed to set up the next novel(s). Still a cool series, and I am looking forward to reading the rest when it comes out.

Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson. He returns to a world that he previously addressed in the Mistborn Trilogy, but many years after the conclusion of that trilogy. Good book.

Currently going through "I Will Fear No Evil" by Robert A Heinlein. I bought a few books by him at a yard sale and have enjoyed reading his works quite a bit, to the point where I'll look out for whatever else I could stumble upon by him, maybe even trying to get his complete works.

Osamu Dazai's "No Longer Human"

Pretty sure if you handed a copy to every hentai lover we'd all live vicariously through it...

This is the book I just finished, or put down before finishing, rare for me to do so. Sorry, but I did not think it was very good. Discworld Pratchett is much, much, much better.

Right now, I am re-reading William Gibson's "Neuromancer", along with a book of essays he wrote. Anyone interested in cyberspace, or virtual reality, and how we interact with it, and who has not read him, will be blown away by anything he's written. Short and easy to read, and uber-entertaining....like manga but without pictures!

Just finished 'Islands in the Sky' and have started 'The Sands of Mars' by Arthur C. Clarke. They are both quite good sci fi books. I like the characters, although some of the technological predictions are laughable. You can tell they predate the moon landing.
I think the tech portrayed in the Isaac Asimov novels which were written around the same time, such as 'The Caves of Steel' seems much more believable. That said, I feel that characters are portrayed much less realistically.

Talking about Pratchett, just recently finished the 3rd great re-reading of all his books +couple of new ones that come out recently.

Man i wish i'd have ability to forget anything to read some books for the first time again.
