It's like watching the movie, but you get to know what's going on in their minds. Oddly, the title of the chant, Deshi Basara was never mentioned in the novel.

Currently going through James Joyce's Dubliners. Hoping to finish that tomorrow and then try to read his Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man in its entirety until June 16th, and on that day, I will get started on my annual rereading of Ulysses.
June is always a Joyce-athon for me, since he's one of my favorite authors and I really love the way he writes about the common individual going through the motions of everyday life. I like it even more how he does so with incredible complexity.
Edgar Allan Poe - Selected Tales It's quite nice, actually. Some of these tales I have read before, but it was quite a long while ago and not in english, so it's nice to re-read them in their original language.
Percy Jackson series it's just amazing And I'm reading this book just like (different author) instead of a Greek roman or Egyptian gods/goddesses its the Christian god which I think would be fun to read
