The Once and Future King so far I am loving the book, it really shows the nature of humans at their core and abnormal we are when compared to the other species on earth as far as behavior goes

Hell of a thread necro, but I guess it's at least a decent one.

I mentioned my Book of the Dead elsewhere. It is a pretty good read so far.

Just finished Robin Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy — wasn't bad, but I still definitely like old school fantasy better. Currently reading some classic sci-fi — Planets of Adventure.

Has anyone else noticed that fantasy stayed on the level to a degree, but sci-fi straight out plummeted in quality over the years?

I'm almost at the end of the Farseer trilogy, but I got a bit bored. First two books were solid awesome though.

If you're used to hack and slash adventure fantasy as I am, then yes, I can see where you're coming from. These books are more about drama, secrets and intrigue than action or adventure.

I'm reading stargate: equestria
A crossover fanfic between stargate and MlP that caught my attention out of three reasons:
It's very well written although it's a crossover fanfic.
Stargate and ponies.
STARGATE and PONIES!!!!
