I decided to read "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri again, after words I plan to read "In Search of Lost Time" by Marcel Proust.

Currently, I’m reading a bunch of books, but I’m more looking forward to the ones I haven’t started yet. I just got King’s new book Under the Dome for my mom, but that’s the one I really –want- to read. Kelly Armstrong’s Bitten was a pretty nice book. Not only was it slightly steamy it actually had some sort of plot going on along side the love interested werewolves. It was one of those books that’s just an easy fun read. I just picked up the True Blood series as well, but I haven’t read it yet. I’m trying to wait for the show to air first before I pick those up, but I’m weak… so very, very weak.

Got the vampire kisses series for xmas, working on that, books are thin, plot is good, and the vampires die in sunlight, are allergic to garlic, and have no reflection. Just what I want out of a vampiric romance.

I do a lot of dabbling in my reading of history, with a fair bit of technical appraisal (works from Osprey publishing for instance). The last book I read that was truly text driven was probably Peter Cozzen's The Shipwreck of Their Hopes. Quite competent Civil War history writer, particularly as to the west. He offers a fairly intriguing look at Rosecrans in some of his later written work (particularly No Better Place to Die). I started reading him while studying George Thomas, The Rock of Chickamauga.

QUOTE(Liquid Drygun @ Jun 4 2009, 23:05) *
Some shit by Stephen King
Recently finished "Just After Sunset," a series of shorts, then snagged "Under the Dome."

Loved the first book, hated the second one -if only because King went so far over the top to stuff in a political statement.....that his Human Characters (at least the Bad Guys) were less believable than the alien dome that the story takes place in.

First King book that I've truly hated since "The Tommyknockers."

I mostly read non fiction. Currently:
Old electrical wiring- David E. Sharpiro
Next: Troubleshooting & repairing diesel engines- Paul Dempsey
I've read them both a few times already, sometime I'll have to buy a copy instead of borrowing them from the library.
