I've read the Poetic Edda before. The Prose Edda is more interesting though.

Why would you buy a leather bound edition and never read it? I had to shell out $20 for my crappy paper editions. Where I'm from, money doesn't grown on trees. Serpents do. I'm from the bottom of the Yggdrasil.

It's not like I'll never read it. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. And now it's in boxes because I'm moving. I think it cost around $46. Which isn't much in Norway. $45k a year is considered horrible pay. Well, maybe not horrible. Uneducated people in crap jobs might get that.

That makes no sense (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
If it was complete, there'd be no need for volume II. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I'm reading the first volume of the manga dragon sister! right now, although I'm almost done with it.

In terms of something a little bit more substantial, I'm not sure yet. I have piles upon piles of books to choose from. I'll let you know when I pick one. Technically, I still have to finish Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer yet.

Silly publishers. Anyone read the Dune series? Any good? I've only ever played the video games. A mate is nagging me to read them.

The Dune books are pretty good, Herbert's son did a good job finishing the story. You should also read the prequels, lots of good back story.

Going to have to try and get a hold of them then. He promised to read The Malazan Book of the Fallen if I read Dune. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Well, been reading some translated novels from the internet...but right now I just felt like reading:

Watchmen Graphic Novels, Art of War and After Eden by Arnold Arre.

Oh, and a friend said his gonna' lend me some Stephen King stuff...wonder might be good?

The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub was really good. I never read the sequel, though. Has anyone read Black House?

I'm surprised they never made The Talisman into a movie with all the other Stephen King crap they've turned into movies.

"The Last Stand" and "The Talisman" huh? Thanks for the recommendations, be sure to ask my friend for them...

And it's true that some of the Stephen king turned movie did suck a bit...
