The hope was that this would help me in learning French...
The reality: I feel less secure than ever in my (tenuous) grasp of the language lol
My sense of self-esteem related to French comprehension: obliterated

In all seriousness, I recommend reading it in whatever language is comfortable for you if you have an interest in the intellectual turmoil that swept much of the world during the 1960s-1970s, specifically France.
As I understand it, some concepts from this very book and the movement surrounding it (Internationale situationniste/Situationist International) appeared as graffiti and slogans during massive protests in May of 1968 during which none other than Charles de Gaulle - president of France at the time - fled the country briefly.

Finished the five translated volumes of You Like Me, Not My Daughter?! (So impatient now to read the last 2 volumes but 6 is only partially translated to English Argghh). Quickly went through Brad Linaweaver's alt history novel Moon Of Ice. Breezed quickly through Fake Marriage with My Ex-Girlfriend (Crying there were only 2 volumes and I have heard it may get no more, at least that's what the English translator seemed to be saying (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) ). Went back to Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? as I had paused after volume 3.
