The plot of this book reminds me greatly of Patlabor the Movie ( [en.wikipedia.org] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patlabor:_The_Movie )

Okay, that sounds interesting. Turns out the local library has a copy, so it's on my list.

I'm just about done with 'Turn Coat', the latest Dresden Files novel. It's as entertaining as I expected it to be, so I'm pleased. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Next on my list is 'Snow Crash' by Neal Stephenson. We'll see how it goes.

The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erickson. Incredible adult epic fantasy series for people who like extremely long and complex books with many interesting characters. Even better, 8 books of the 10 are already available with the 9th due to come out in september and the last due sept. next year, so not a long wait for the end of the series if you decide to start reading it.

I've moved onto A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin now, at the suggestion of a friend. I'm only 200 pages in so far, but it could be an interesting series.

I am re-reading the "The Wheel of Time" series, as I'm wanting to catch up a bit before the next one comes out.

Malazan is probably my fav series ever. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The Song of Ice and Fire series is quite awesome. They're planning a TV series based on A Game of Thrones btw.

I just finished reading JG Ballard's mindblowing book The Atrocity Exhibition.

I've moved on to my second reading of LotR. A few more chapters left of Fellowship.

Reading 'Nation' by Terry Pratchett. Good stuff. Pratchett manages to combine tragedy, wonder, and humor in what seems to be the perfect balance. Probably my favorite book I've read all year.
