The Picture of Dorian Grey.
It was alright. I can definitely see how it inspired a lot of media that came after it, especially vampire novels that used the debauched/degenerate aristocrat cliche. That being said, it felt really antiquated in the sense that none of the shit Dorian does is really all that bad. I mean, the drugs are bad and how he got some of his friends addicted to opium due to all the partying was definitely kinda shitty of him, but at the same time none of it was as bad as all the other characters around him were making it out to be, which I figured was just due to the dissonance in values between our modern sensibilities and those of the Victorian era, in which it was written.

Like, if Dorian Grey existed in today's world he would just be considered another vapid and brainless socialite; like Paris Hilton at best or Courtney Love at worst. He wouldn't be considered THAT HORRID MONSTER MISTAKE-OF-GOD THAT WILL SURELY BURN IN HELL FOREVER OH LORD BLESS HIS SOUL WE SHALL LEAVE THE BALLROOM IF THAT THING SETS A CORRUPTED TOE IN THIS HOUSE! for, say, having a relationship with a peasant girl and then after a few months deciding not to marry her. Gee, how depraved.

On second thought, Dorian does do a lot of shitty and evil things. Killing poor Basil and then blackmailing a chemist into dissolving the remains was downright evil, but I guess what I'm focusing on is that the Victorian ideas of debauchery and degeneracy seemed so innocent and kind of paled in comparison to our own.

IDW Sonic the Hedgehog. It's ok, not exciting currently because of slow character re-introductions they want to do for some damn reason.

Not impressed by their new original characters: Tangle (Nothing special about her aside from the Mr. Fantastic tail and everyone assuming she's gone lesbian for Blaze), Rough & Tumble (think Bebop & Rocksteady but less interesting)

Don't insult the off/bad art in issues 3 and 4 because the artists are female says reddit and 4chan. Issue 2 has the best art so far.

Still pissed archie sonic got canned.

Just to put this section on par with the other "what are you currently..." sections. And, I'm curious.

I'm currently reading The Bonehunters by Steven Erikson. Just started. Seems like it'll be a doozy, like most of his books. I'm continuing straight from Midnight Tides, which was great. It had a lot more "comedy" than previous books in the series. (The Malazan Book of the Fallen)

Waiting patiently for A Dance of Dragons by George R. R. Martin.

I'm a child of HIGH fantasy. I've torn through all FR*, DL*, HP*, LotR* (and, of course the Simarillion) etc. Currently, also reading the GoT series whilst I await my 6 movies next year. Comics lately have been my thing (Batman is God) and I've been reading a metric FUKTON of ero-dou, getting familiar with the terminology of the current H-landscape in preparation of my writing endeavor.
*Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings

The Death of Ivan Ilyich - Tolstoi

I wanted to read something in which the protagonist isolates himself and drowns on his worries, this fit the bill.
Wish it had been a longer book.

Re-reading the entire Discworld series. Too bad there was only 41 books, Terry was taken from us far too soon.

A small pile of novels I bought at a bargain from a secondhand bookstore to re-read, including Follett's Eye of the Needle, Forsyth's The Day of the Jackal, and Uris's The Haj.
