Brilliant novel! My friend is a huge Nabokov fan but she's never lent me any of his other works, but she's described his wit in enough detail to leave me craving more. I'd love to hear your opinion on the book when you're done reading it.

Currently reading: Entomology and Botany textbooks. I love my program I love my program I love my program...

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. I'm only about a quarter of the way through, but it's really interesting so far (the only thing I can really say that wouldn;t count as a spoiler is that it's about a sort of magic-based Under realm throughout London.)

Recently finished the Book of Lies (made up of The Notebook, The Proof and The Third Lie) written by Agota Kristof. Such an addictive book - even though it's quite big (well, it's three novels in one) I read it in only a few sessions.

The Notebook is the book that Itoi drew a lot of inspiration from for Mother 3, even the names of some of the main characters, the fact that Duster has a limp and many other things. Mother 3 far more simple, of course, but you can see some crossover of the less complex themes.

Just finished C.S. Lewis' Out of the Silent Planet & Perelandra. Currently reading the third book, That Hideous Strength. Good sci-fi with Xtian undertones.
