It's easy. Reddit liberals in the older days had to manually organize to get several people NOT CONNECTED WITH EACH OTHER to each separately complain about your post being "deliberately devisive". This is the Mobbing Effect. Ignoring the gaslighting, the mobbing effect is used to create "truth" or facts when there is none.

We've all seen and "felt" it. If all these different long time members say it is true, then it's probably true.

Mods at many forum sites such as Reddit and 4chan have rules, but one of the most effective way to deplatform someone is to use the mobbing effect. On a private chat channel, the group can simply all agree to report a post, a person, or to go make a few downvotes on that person's posts. In fact, on 4chan, the algorithm used to automatically remove posts if a bunch of disparate posters all "reported" that post. Some websites have rules to prevent abuse abuse such as a posted item can only be deleted by three deletion (aka "veto") votes by three separate mods. However, if those mods organize themselves as an informal "Gang" with private communications to discuss which users they want purged, then they can avoid the rules morally while following the rules technically. Sort of like the perfect crime. Only it is crime against freedom.

The way I read that title (without reading the article, because I really can't be bothered) is that it's someone who broke out of one cult talking about how to break people out of a different cult.

It's funny how the people who supposedly champion personal liberty and choice are so opposed to it in this instance while simultaneously supporting things like "stand your ground" laws that allow murder if you can even feasibly claim self-defense (and aren't black).

I don't consider myself to be an "american liberal" in that I do not quite agree with almost anything in the democratic party platform (and agree even less with the actual politics they practice outside of it). Party affiliation is what passes for a political ideology these days, for a lack of any nuance or subtlety (or indeed conscious thought or reflection).
Also, focus group driven candidates are destroying america at least as much as lobbyists.

Trump was 90s style corporatism as a reaction to Obama's global corporatism and now we have woke global corporatism as a reaction to him.

The difference is that 90s corporatism was still to an extent nationalist where corporations were loyal to the extent that they could get tax exemptions and subsidies or other national legal benefits.

Global corporatism was about exploiting global operations to avoid tax all together, avoid corporate social responsibility altogether and take advantage of how weak international governance actually is. Unfortunately this wasn't very popular and spawned the occupy movement. From the reaction to corporatism we also had far left movements also gain popularity.

Woke Global Corporatism; is as you said the same thing turned up to 11 but with performative wokeness to get people on social media to lobby against national interests for virtue points (likes) and get even more crony politicians, judges and officials into office. They are selling 'green new deals' and 'great resets' that at the very surface level sound left wing but in effect shift the ownership of equity upwards and give corporations authoritarian powers like never before. EG Nevada's plan to literally sell government powers to corporations.

Not sure where the abortion topic came from. I generally support women's rights but where it gets more grey is compulsory child support and one sided child custody standards.

Youtube has been on a spree removing news videos that have been factually exposing things that have been going on. It looks very much like 1984.

The first ones to go in a wave are the ones that record past Chinese government actions. My assumption is that by removing the proof, those that defend China can then disingenuously demand from you "Where's the Proof? I see you have none!" as a defense. No need to deny, just simply stick to "Where's the Proof?" and then delete all the proof using censorship and "Cancel Culture" wherever and whenever.

One of the youtube news sources that I looked at is NTD News. During the election, article selection was slanted right in that it would report factual (not attack pieces) on corruption, illegal immigration, china, jobs, economic events, the BLM rioting, social welfare lawsuits, etc. As for tone, NTD was neutral and not vindictive, otherwise I would have dropped it. One of the things it covered a lot was chinese corruption and if there were CCP activities inside the USA (the CCP owns some companies inside the USA and thus takes contracts).

It was the international and chinese coverage that got NTD into trouble with youtube. Those became demonetized. NTD kept on coverage, so in January after Biden took office, youtube then began deletion of NTD videos that contained significant corruption news content on the CCP and its actions through USA laws upon USA companies and civilians. At that time, NTD also had coverage on corruption, illegal immigration deleted, and BLM rioting and monument damage deleted.

It's disappointing since NTD was reasonably neutral. Google News isn't neutral since it also slots in opinion articles as news. Of course it also covered Trump's problems but it didn't dwell on them because there is plenty of other news to cover.
