He's not into true Christians. For most of Sinfest's run, it implicitly had a Judeo-Christian setting. In the past year or so, now that he's developed an obsession with Jews, he's retconned the hand and voice of an ineffable God as having actually belonging to a dude-bro version of Zeus, and specifically started to character-assassinate Yahweh. There are no woke Right, and the woke Left, which was his prior obsession, was retroactively orchestrated by the Jewish conspiracy. Odin and Valkyries showed up for a while too. It's more similar to a decidedly minority current in the alt-right that views Christianity as a slave religion and Norse mythology as a better fit for the meat-eating, red-blooded American Conservative.

Also it's supposed to be ancient Greece, but there are Roman centurions and emperors because he drew that part off the top of his head instead of doing research.

I used to read Sinfest daily in the 00s, it had a chill atmosphere, and some pop philosophical takes on society and spirituality, the meaning of love and life. The Fuchsia and Crimi storyline was very nice, and I liked his simplistic style, the cute succubusses especially. Stopped reading when suddenly over night it turned into one of the most rabid feminists propaganda comics i have ever seen, like proto-woke. We're talking SCUM level of feminism here.
At first I thought it was a joke, and it was actually gonna be a critique on feminists bullshit, but no, it was actually serious. Haven't seen anything from that comic for over like 12? 15 years? until recently when newer genz posters started uploading comics like those on top in many places. So I searched up, read some of the recent shit and oh boy..... talk about a complete flip flop. Now he's a rightwing anti-progressive Trump supporter apparently? I can't even imagine its actually the same person doing these, unless he died years ago and somebody else who took over.

Tats is able to take it much further and reinvent himself as frequently as he pleases due to no editor, publisher or need for funding being able to get in the way.

They are now anti-trump looking at recent comics. Its probably they are on TikTok and Twitter too much and they are tapping into trends that gets the clicks. A good satirist should be able to poke at all the sides.

edit2: The D&D progressive staff at WoTC said Orcs were offensive black stereotypes so they turned them into illegal Mexicans crossing the border so they now just removed Orcs as monsters from D&D completely. Also now they are claiming Liches are offensive stereotypes of Jews. They also turned Sphinxes into My Little Pony knock offs.

Someone actually did a research study, and found that 90% of regular adults did not see any racism in D&D. The only group it spiked in was recent D&D players that joined after seeing the game on social media, being the highest in female social media users (34%).

Liches are originally inspired by famous Russian folk tale of Koshchei the Immortal. 20th century fantasy authors wrote numerous stories of wizards who wouldn't stay dead, which were cited as the direct inspiration for the monster in the game. In the good, old, pre-social media days of D&D, nobody thought liches were supposed to be Jewish. Source: I was there. If anything, it was the Dragonlance gnomes that were supposed to be a nebbishy Jewish stereotype, because a Jewish guy wrote them that way.

One of the terms that's used for a lich's soul container is phylactery. Other, fairly historical (1979) sources just call it a jar, after the Magic Jar spell. Obviously phylactery sounds more fantasyish. One of the things that the English word phylactery can refer to is a Jewish tefilla, but it is not the only possibility. Have a read through [en.wiktionary.org] here, and notice that the Jewish conspiracy edited the (Judaism) sense into first place, even though the (roleplaying games) sense is by far the most common. If it was meant to refer to tefillin, the Prophet Gygax could have used the actual word, but he didn't. They do not contain torah verses, they are not worn strapped to the body (that would defeat the purpose), and they can actually be any object. It's not a tefilla.

Jews do not own the word phylactery, any more than Christians own the term 'holy symbol' because one of them is a cross, and we're not going to stop using it, because we don't have to.
