It doesn't talk about the truly dodgy part of the trial. As it was looking like he would be found not guilty the judge moved to dismiss the higher charges so the prosecution can have a crack with the lower manslaughter charges.
This just encourages prosecutors to charge people with the heaviest charges possible as they can just then keep cycling down the list mid trial.

It was funny when they advertised on social media their impossible burger was vegan and halal and then they haram'd a ton of people as only two locations in Sydney were actually vegan / halal.
