Last time we raised interest rates to tamp down inflation was under Paul Volcker in the Reagan administration.

In my country they raised interest rates to 20% to curb inflation and kill unions and small business in the early 90s. It was the "left" wing government that did it. Also one of the first pro-outsourcing all of manufacturing to China.

The left wing governments previously made all the unsustainable spending promises that well Biden has reneged on (but still wasted the equivalent amount of money anyway). We still have universal health care but private as well, but universal student debt forgiveness is gone.

Free is a relative term, but it was certainly lower cost due to less pork barrel corruption. To compare costs between Trump and Biden, let's look at inflation:
