The Trump presidency was the last free era.
Free is a relative term, but it was certainly lower cost due to less pork barrel corruption. To compare costs between Trump and Biden, let's look at inflation:
CASE #1:
Trump: . . .
Biden: THREE rate hikes to fight inflation (bad for those who save cash in savings accounts)
Free is also a relative term to taxpayers. Cost efficiency goes down when deals include politically-inflated prices. Under Biden, 2 harpoons and training needed a 650million taxpayer spending package, but under Trump, each harpoon and training ran 24 million of sales (taxpayers didn't pay).
CASE #2: who helps taxpayers, who sacrifices taxpayers
Biden: $1 billion aid package to Ukraine (USA taxpayer money spent) for:
$350 million for:
-- 18 155 mm howitzers (America has now pledged at least 108 of these total)
-- 36,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition (America has now pledge 256k total)
-- 18 tactical vehicles to tow 155 mm howitzers (America has now pledged
-- Ammunition for M142/M270 MLRS system (America & Britain have pledged eight launchers)
-- 4 tactical vehicles to recover equipment and spare parts
$650 million package for:
-- 2 Harpoon launch systems (compare to 48 million based on Taiwan deal)
-- Thousands of radios, night vision googles, thermal imagining devices
-- Funding for training and maintenance (is this code for the money just disappears?)
Trump: aid package to Taiwan doesn't sacrifice taxpayers
-- Taiwan reportedly agreed to pay $2.4 Billion for 100 Harpoon systems. This included one hundred launch vehicles, which hold four tubes each, and 400 missiles, training, and a few practice missiles. This is only $24 million for each launcher and one set of four missiles.
-- Under Trump, Taiwan was supposed to begin receiving delivery of these weapons in 2024, but Biden has pushed arms sales to 2025. Was this the result of those Hunter Biden diplomacy talks (bribery) in China?
