Amazon and the other producers in the woke LotR: Rings Of Power series decided to reduce the amount of negative Tolkien fandom comments and reviews at the various forum, youtube channels, and social media sites. The top 30 or so high-profile online influencers (of Tolkien fandom sites/forums/youtube) were flown in from all over the world (all expenses paid) to London to meet people, see footage from the show, and receive special explanations and promotional material for the upcoming Rings of Power release.

https://www.looper.com/858984/amazons-rings...xperts-stunned/The amount of negative criticisms for Rings of Power declined a huge amount in both quantity and intensity over the past month. So Amazon's approach to the high-profile influencers seems to be working in double plus good fashion.
Regardless, Amazon's Woke approach is in stark contrast to Peter Jackson's approach on the six LotR/Hobbit movies.
"There are certainly themes Tolkien felt were important. We made a promise to ourselves at the beginning of the process that we weren't going to put any of our own politics, our own messages or our own themes into these movies. What we were trying to do was to analyse what was important to Tolkien and to try to honour that. In a way, were trying to make these films for him, not for ourselves."
- Peter Jackson, Interview with GreenCine (Dec. 2002)
