I've always hated riding a horse. Feels so gross when it moves under you. And they are tall, so fucking tall. I'd rather straddle a cactus.

Low-rent housing may be unavailable simply because of both zoning and that the government buys up all of them before genuine consumer can get to them. Once bought up, not enough new ones are constructed because NIMBY.

In my state, county, and city housing markets, basically most of the low-rent housing is purchased by the governments in order to provide subsidized housing for social welfare clients (immigrants, illegal immigrants, social welfare families, pregnant single mothers, priority cases). Another problem related to this is that areas zoned for low-rent housing will have more such housing constructed on behalf of the buyer (government) and it will be used for subsidized housing.

It's hard to get zoning for low-rent housing clusters because NIMBY. No one wants more crime. It is a proven statistical fact that clusters of low-rent housing units will generate a crime wave around them AND increase crime on neighborhoods around nearby bus stops connected to the bus routes that serve low-rent housing clusters.
