it is possible to retrofit an older car but is a pain, have to change out the fuel system rather than an add on.

Also don't think you can have flex fuel with older cars, as you need different carburetors.

Hmmm wow, BLM caused mass rioting in South Africa which resulted in all the logistics companies cancelling all of their shipments after distribution hubs were burnt down. Already thousands are without food in two cities. One of the main highways has also been blocked by rioters on the roads.

This after an abundant harvest where the government predicted no food shortages.

US media seems to be confused, they are calling these BLM 'peaceful protests' violent riots and looting.

The South African President said this about BLM South Africa describing their peaceful protests as “opportunistic acts of criminality, with groups of people instigating chaos merely as a cover for looting and theft.”

The president said that if BLM spreads further in South Africa, there could be a wide spread disruption to the food distribution network and many people will die due to starvation.

I have a relative who sells insurance and they don't really understand why entirely either. Premiums are given by the bigger companies and the small agencies just sell other companies' policies.

I am of the opinion that they know they can get away with it, so they do and they all keep prices in lockstep with each other. So when one company raises premiums the others follow. Sort of how gas stations will check each others' prices when setting their own.

There's also the fact that in health insurance, not having a public option or any ability for insurance agencies/gov't to negotiate on prices of treatments/medicines means that drug companies and hospitals can charge whatever the hell they want, and insurers have to raise premiums in order to be able to afford to pay out for them.

The reason they can't understand why is because all of this could be fixed if anyone in the government fucking cared, but they benefit from the status quo so it'll never get done.

The epidemic ends when there is herd immunity. But that's not the end of the problem.

Once created in the lab and accidentally released into the wild, diseases find reservoirs and carriers (eg typhoid mary) to continue existing in benign state. Vanquished human diseases such as polio, measles, rubella, smallpox, whooping cough, typhoid fever, black death, tuberculosis, and others continue to exist even in vaccinated bodies. They will not become extinct. If there wasn't the vaccinated herd combined with hygiene laws (restaurant & food inspection) to keep them down, they would spring to epidemic size once again and rampage through society.

Elimination of reservoirs and carriers isn't practical for humans. Humans do it for animals though by slaying the entire herd (eg hoof & mouth disease) even though the vast majority is healthy. Diseases are also kept extinct in many areas by strict controls on animal immigration. It's proven that Illegal immigration spreads diseases between herds so there are strict penalties for non-compliance.

Thus, these afflictions won't become extinct especially since humans insist on movement and intermingling whether it be by travel, immigration. or illegal immigration. Sick (eg measles, ebola, etc) people are prohibited from immigration and some of those people have chosen illegal immigration in order to force western countries to provide medical care for their affliction. This type of disease vector shows that herd immunity must be maintained because there are sociopaths who don't care about the well being of society.
