Sure, you can get faster and shave off some time, but the problem remain that @hell mages should be easily able to get sub 3 minutes, and that's sometimes that I really doubt can be achieved with 2H.
Much better to slowly build a mage persona than to go the 2H path (unless Tenboro buff it in one of the next patches).

The fact is that with normal enemies you imperil once and then nuke, so maybe 1 turn imperil and no more than 2-3 for mobs, no imperil you may need 5-6, in the end you may gain a couple of rounds (depends if you find a monster with high holy res, luck, if you have full radiant etc etc).

With SGs with no imperil you easily need something like 20-30 spells, so even if imperil can cut a small percentage of the rounds needed it's still a good trade to use 1 round of imperil to save maybe 10 rounds of nuking.

Ok, did some real tests.
1H Heavy no imperil 100% lazy style
vs
Holy Mage no imperil 98% lazy style because fuck no defense

1H (my best result at 125 Arena)

Mage (probably average result, still need to grind some prof)


I cannot test with imperil but I think a very good imperil holy/dark mage can probably do it in 10-11 minutes.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I clear 125 Arena at 2000turns(LHOH, 4Phase, 1cotton pants). My staff is fully forged, but phases aren't forged(MS 19.8K). I think a very good imperil holy/dark mage can do it at 1000~1200turns.

19.8K is pretty good I'd say.
Probably with full forge on staff and capped prof I could go lower at around 3000 turns without imperil, 50% more turns seems around what I expected.

Well, phases @25 is not bad.
You're right about the best holy mages, I completely forgot about the damage perk (and 30% is quite high).
Under 9 seems pretty likely.
