nope. FRD in the best possible conditions (or almost: Heartseeker, 2xPA, Spirit Stance, Overwhelming Strikes) does as much damage as an OFC casted at the first turn and without spirit stance.
only advantage it gives is the mass-stun.

It's not about the damage.
And since as you can see from the avatar signs nobody is using it, you can tell it's not good.
With high enough attack speed you can achieve permanent stun lock on the enemies, but you still lack damage.
It's a good method to make low budget work, but nothing that you should focus onto.
Well i managed to get my first GF full clear thanks to that style, but it's only for bragging rights. Still some people like to use it even at high levels.
It's has some fun sides and combos, but i would say... you are better of ignoring it.
