Well explained!! (IMG:[

PS: I like the "Protection" type equipment. I have 1 Shield (in use), 4 Plate (+1 Warding)(in use), 6 Power (+1 Balance)(all in stand by).
Welp, at low levels you have to combine both types to get some mitigations.
But when you hit levels like 350 or 375 you get in the "slaughter range"
So, when you have the money you pay for slaughter stuff, if not you have some alternatives:
- Protection: +30% pmi compared to warding/balance, crap mmi, lower acc and crit chance than balance, high price
- Warding: +80/100% mmi compared to protection balance, normal pmi, lower acc and crit chance than balance, lowest price
- Balance: crap mmi, normal pmi, higher acc and crit, quite rare to find with good rolls, mid price
Balance or Warding are better choices for transition pieces, cheaper and with more balancing output in mitigations OR crit chances.
Protection is a good suffix for lower levels, but quite useless on pieces with low multiplier (boots, helmet, gauntlets) since it adds only 30% PMi average, you can go for armor and leggings of protection though, around lv 200-250.
Protection is an excellent suffix for plate or leather, since it boosts around 50% the PMi, and PMi in Plate/Leather is significantly higher than in Power/Shade (and Shade can't be Protection).
