trade for a different one. at your level you shouldn't gamble too much imo

If I was playing normal, it hands superiors continuously.
I mean they usually suxored too, but at least you get a low grade out of it.

Yes, on PFUDOR difficulty you will get at least superior quality equipment, but only from monsters as a drop.
Arena Clear Reward STILL may be average =(
So, train your Scavenger and Quartermaster and then go into PFUDOR ^_~

The answer for the artifacts? Stats say every 221.22 rounds, but the stats were already accumulating when my training on the three were less than half completed.

So thanks to some trading I managed to convert 7ish Energy Drinks that I was never going to use into 21 figures. I know I have to wait about a day for OFC to show up. Should I shrine the duplicates though?

Yes, according, to research, artifact roll drop comes after equipment roll drop. So, if monster drop equip - you will not get artifact.
By using this state, we came to conclusion: higher your Quartermaster is - less artifacts you will get.
BUT!
Due to some formulas and weird random - even with high Quartermaster you still will get a lot artifacts. For example, I have Archeologist 8, Quartermaster 17 and Scavenger 47 - with this trainings I freely get at least 5 artifacts from all arenas. Yesterday I didn't do any arenas and did Grindfest up to round ~600 and got 7 artifacts. But I remember few days before from same amount of rounds I got only 1 v_v
It is all weird random, and on your place I will upgrade Quartermaster to maximum and don't care. Between artifacts and good equipment - I will go for equipment, actually =)

Wow... The best I've done to date is 2 artifacts in a 125 round arena. Happened once only, and I play the higher round arenas daily. Right now, my artifact stats have dropped to 223 rounds between, so the holding out on quartermaster doesn't seem to help much.

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm going to get a few more APs done and then max out Quartermaster as I'm able to afford it.
