The big problem is that it is not known when Tenboro will release the new patch, which will reset all equipment for a new IW and upgrades system. It's sad to have to spend time to do the IW, and spend on Amnesia Shards and Catalysts, then have to redo it all again, and spend millions of credits for it. Got to level 60 and was able to get a new PB on grindfest @ Round 29!

Read the warning on News page, changed password to be sure.

Changed my password and learned that it results in a security lockdown. Now I have to fight without running out of inventory space.

I thought I would never need this perk, but since catalysts are untradeable, now I need it.

Successfully beat the level 40, 50, and 60 arenas today!

Another update: I hit level 70 and was able to first try the arena!

Got FOMO'd into playing isekai to get free permanent +3. (Only at the end of december learned about stat boost not being tied to top placement anymore.) Two (and a bit) months later:

Overall wasn't as hard as I anticipated: i'm only level 353. Also turns out scrolls are good and you dont use that many of them even when playing 1h, so its much cheaper to grab some scrolls for late rounds and use featherweight shards than getting better gear, forging it and spending stamina in IW (if you don't count necessary stuff like iw10 on weapon and forging adb on weapon and block on shield).

Reached level 100 by exclusively punching enemies to death, just because I like the idea of a crazy monk running up to a group of terrifying monsters and beating the shit out of them with his bare hands. It's too bad the unarmed fighting style isn't more viable—at this point, mostly because it gets boring killing enemies one-by-one, especially when doing longer Arena challenges—but I still intend to see how far I can take it.

If (and when) not using weapons/offensive spells stops being viable, the first thing I'll switch to is probably a staff, because that's a classic martial arts weapon. If (and when) that stops being viable, I'll definitely do something along the lines of your suggestion.
