Cleared out all the equips that were pilling up, also fist post in like half a year. But most importantly back in March my PL1498 brought a mid-grade mat (should be the last level that it is possible), but I'm too lazy to make my normal summery of the monster gift data I've collected so far.

Using the one-handed fighting style to level, my trustworthy ethereal magnificent rapier of the banshee, would allow me keep spirit stance on indefinitely. Banshee was a pretty little thing I picked up at the bazaar. Giving it a lvl 5 overpower and lvl 4 fatality it served its purpose well, but alas the stats were a bit too low to be fully happy with. I searched the bazaar and WTS for months, looking for a legendary ethereal rapier of the banshee, but not with much luck. Apparently no store wants to keep banshee/illithid or vampire because they don't sell well. When I put out a WTB ad, I managed to get one COD'd to me. And here it is, Banshee XL , now with Lvl 5 fatality and lvl 4 overpower, it was a great upgrade, finally feeling like I have an end-game worthy weapon that fits my playstyle. The was boost was marginally small, but immediately noticeable

The was boost was marginally small, but immediately noticeable you should try a legendary elemental rapier of slaughter. If you like banshee already, then a slaughter rapier will blow your mind. Because, banshee does not help you keep up your spirit stance indefinitely. In fact, it's successfully hitting an enemy with a physical attack that fills the player's Overcharge bar by a 5-10%, plus any successful Counter-Attack will give 5-10% of overcharge. Banshee only helps to keep the spirit bar high, but that can easily be done with draughts & potions. And slaughter just makes your game play faster. By using ethereal, your burden is lower, hence your evade is hihger. That means you receive less attacks, and you do less counter-attacks. And less overcharge. But what you're doing is not wrong of course. Just slower. This post has been edited by Noni: Jul 9 2023, 12:46

Yes, but out of personal preference I don't like using draughts & pots, I don't like spending credits on them, having to use action buttons and keeping an eye on how many turns are left before I need to use another consumable. This way I only have to keep track of 2 buffs: regen and heartseeker that have a pretty long uptime. I also use spirit shield on auto-cast and because I'm not max level with peerless gear, I do get quite a few hits taking large chunks of my spirit. Way more than the 1 spirit per turn I need to upkeep spirit stance, so none of it is wasted, yet. That was a personal trade-off, perhaps at 500 when my natural spirit regeneration is in balance with how much I need, i'll switch my Banshee to a Balance. I do have full savage so the extra crit really pays off for me. I'm also wearing full light armor of the arcanist, so I don't need to consume mana pots/draughts either. This gives me more crit power and attack speed, I specifically like the attack speed bonus because it means I have to keep less track of my own buffs. (more attacks before I need to rebuff) Trade off is of course I take heavy hits, hence why I love the Banshee to continuously refill my spirit bar. I'm aware of the evade issue, I also did not upgrade my arcanist armor to have the extra evade, but the void damage makes it worth it to me. I only need a few more counter-attacks at the moment, it's pretty well balanced, as soon as I have to fight more than 4 opponents my action points never run out. So i'm looking for neat legendary shield of the barrier to give me that last 4% extra block, this is what I currently have m. shield of the barrier. It's pretty good for a magnificent but I'm looking forward to the upgrade. Effectively I started wearing light armor because long-long-time ago I couldn't afford cloth/heavy. (Crystal phazon is still 200k each) so i adjusted my playstyle for the most bang for my buck and I've gotten attached. I mostly fight while listening to a pod-cast or watching TV so I like to have to spend as little attention as possible. And because I'm a light armor user and might in the future try a dual wield build, which requires the evade, I pre-sorted on the ethereal so it's a dual investment. If my current Evade is too high, I can simply lower my agility by redistributing points, which is what I've done currently. (I got 50% evade) The more my block/parry improve, the more I can stack the agility back on for the speed/defense ;p. I really want that better shield. QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Jul 11 2023, 22:06) and With this equipment, I keep wondering how much time you take to make the Arena Lv.400 ... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Certainly the savings of consumables and clicks (actions) do not compensate for the waste of real time. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Currently about 52 minutes, more or less... I try to look at the upside, I play 'while' doing other things. If I was considering 'real time', obviously the fastest way would simply do my actual 'real time' job, get paid per hour, then donate it as bitcoin. I'm still having fun upgrading my character and enjoy seeing my income increase per hour though ^-^ QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Jul 11 2023, 22:06) I decided to acquire this: (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/HG8X7Pk.jpg) Unfortunately the price of food has increased a lot in recent months (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (and continues to go up (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ), and my monsters eat too much (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) . I hope this helps a little. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) You'd think such an active max player would have acquired something like that long time ago. Did you also invest in the metabolism training perks?

52 !!! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) It takes between 13 and 14 minutes to me. Well, considering that I have full forged equipment, DD9 (+5.1% Isekai bonus) and Manehattan Project. If you are having fun, then everything is right! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) QUOTE(Hexxuus @ Jul 11 2023, 22:50) You'd think such an active max player would have acquired something like that long time ago. Did you also invest in the metabolism training perks?
I didn't worry about it in the past because the price of food was low (almost half of what it is today). In addition, I used to have monsters with greater PL variation, so they consumed the three types of foods. Today all my 200 monsters consume only Cuisine (which is more expensive), and my stock is ending (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . I do not intend to invest in this training because it is not worth it. The total cost is 55,000,000. With this value it is possible to buy enough food for 15 to 20 years (if I did not miss the calculations). (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Well, considering that I have full forged equipment, DD9 (+5.1% Isekai bonus) and Manehattan Project. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Yeah.. as mentioned that's also a money issue, I can barely afford the 5 slaughter bindings I gave my Banshee XL, let alone my arcanist gear. Also, just the first rank of Demon Duality. But fair is fair, I am noticing gradual total time decrease as I level. When I was 400 and did it the first time, it took me 3 hours... So if this goes on I should be getting close to that 15 minutes eventually ;p I look with joy at my little set, just need that shield before I truly feel -BEST IN SLOT™- I just got 50 little monsties to feed with monster edibles, so i'm still prioritizing things like scavenger and luck of the draw for raw credit increase.

Disclaimer: 2H is still bad and needs a lot of help. I just used my deprecating spam strategy to clear tower floor 100 using 2H mace. I reached floor 100 with 1h mage last year with a much lower level, clearing floor 99 in 10676 turns. I also tried with an estoc and died on round 47. Edit: Deckard Cain rightly points out that rending blow + shatter strike to stun half the enemies at the start of each round would help my debuff phase go more smoothly. Oops! Maybe the estoc attempt would have lasted longer if I actually knew how to play 2h. This post has been edited by mathl33t: Jul 13 2023, 12:24

I'd like to say the answer to this is "you don't", but alas. I liked 2h, but it's so slow, and requires relatively high attention, so may as well do mage.

The earlier rounds were kind of fun blasting all the monsters with bleeding wounds, but I quickly had to sleep some monsters and focus down a few at a time.
