In my case, I usually use the OFC when 5 or more monsters appear. In the tests I did in the arena of 80 rounds, using OFC only in the last round was worse (more turns and slower) than using it continuously. I can try to play like that (only 1 OFC) tomorrow.

But I remember that I've done this arena in less than 1400 turns, and only once under 8 minutes. But in general, I think this result today reflects the average of the week.

no way is the technique (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif), today it was the first time i tried 1h "seriously". Didn't know what to do, so just spammed imperil and hovered. Also, there was no chance to use ofc anyways...

Just cleared my first ever PFFEST, so with that every mode has been cleared on PFUDOR at least once thus as far as I'm concerned the game is cleared and I can take it easy. It took so long that I ended up leveling up within the fest (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I decided to shrine all mi extra figurine and see the result... in the end i think i got near even, maybe lost 50K.

Hmm, interesting. So I already know the answer. I'm the one who's been playing wrong, and that's been almost 5 years. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) In terms of the game method, the only big difference is that I didn't use scripts before (I started using it only 6 months ago). I keep hitting monsters in the same way.

And as promised, here's today's result, using just 1 OFC:

So far since the last Dawn I've gotten 4 riddlemasters out of my 7 random encounters.

I hate getting riddlemasters on random encounters, its supposed to be a more casual fight and all of the sudden I have to race to figure it out in time or lose stamina. :/

If play style is an issue, Imperiling style could be a factor as well. So the simplest comparisons would be for both to play without Imperil or OFC, perhaps.

Looking at the pictures, I don't think the main diff. here is due to playstyke or imperil.

The thing that jumps to the eyes immediately (to me) is the big differences in the TAKEN damage.

Not so much the total (Lololo takes about 7.5% more damage), but the distribution between Phys and Magical.

Ratio between Phys.Dmg to Magic.Dmg. is 3.96 for Lololo ( 4 : 1 ), while it is 2.57 for Basara.

Lololo takes 21.7% more Phys.Dmg. , BUT takes 21.5% LESS Magical Dmg. !! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I don't know why that is so, I can just make suppositions; but it could be a combination of different mitigations combined with Lololo being successful in killing most monsters before they can unleash the magical attacks (which, as we now, are more powerful).

Different perks could also contribute. For instance, I just acquired the Deprecating Prof perk, and thou' I got it in preparation for a future mage build, I have noticed a subtle but definite improvement in my 1H too.
Perhaps due to Imperil being resisted a bit less, I don't now really.
Still, multiple little factors can work all together to make up the big difference.

The lack of parry on the Axe is probably the main reason for lololo taking more Physical Damage. With magical, I think you're right about the monsters dying before they can all use their magical attacks, but lololo also has 10% more evade than Basara, so that probably contributes a lot.

Regarding Imperil: more prof = more counter-resist. Counter-Resist = prof_factor * .5, prof_factor = (prof - monster_level) / monster_level
For 1H, your only source of counter-resist is prof

Aha, yes. I forgot Lololo's used an Axe (Ethereal, iirc). He has effectively traded a lot less parry for more ADB and Evade (and Speed too, probably).

From all this, the status of Axe (at least top notch Ethereals) for 1H could be raised to new significance (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

EDIT : and Evade may be less useless then previously thought for 1H, at least for Axes/Clubs.

Yep, I know; but I didn't thought it could give noticeable effects in a 1H-power build. Thou' my 1H-power is far from any end-game build, tbh (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) , which probably makes the effect more noticeable.

Some fairly major (minor) stuff over the last week or two...

• Passed Level 310 (more significant than Lvl.300 - no-wait Imperil now!)
• First couple Legendary drops (useless leathers and plates, of course, but hey it's a start...)
• All REs and most lower Arenas routinely @ PFUDOR without much trouble
• First couple times bulldozed in auctions (won't be the last, I'm sure, but that first time still stings)
• First DwD @ PFUDOR (though that's still punching a little above my weight, I think)

But really, the most earth-shuddering accomplishment:

• Can finally tell Rarity apart from Fluttershy. Game. Changing. Moment.
