If someone was able to guess it, it wasn't a good enough password, and therefore it's your fault.

Yes, I know you could argue that it's theoretically possible for someone to guess a password of any given complexity, but in that absurdly unlikely case, should it ever happen, you'd just be unlucky and no special measures would be taken to compensate you.

This also applies to people stupid enough to install dodgy browser extensions leading to their session getting hijacked, or falling for phishing sites, or using the same username/password combo on other sites then having their password cracked and put on a combo list. These are all user errors.

Constant backups are kept, so at best, we'd only lose a couple hours of data. Depending on what was compromised, it's possible that only the affected parts would be reverted.

Partial rollbacks have happened before where people were able to exploit a bug - I think it was with figurines giving an erroneous amount of rewards or something, but I don't remember fully. In that case, it wasn't a database-wide rollback, but just the individual rows affected.

Of course, in your theoretical scenario, I guess it depends on what you mean by 'hacked all of ehentai'. That's a huge range of possibilities, and all of them astronomically unlikely (under the reasonable assumption Tenboro has taken proper security measures).

Golden lottery tickets are useless.

The literal most efficient way to use a GLT is to put exactly 5% - 100 tickets of the total pool, and that will give you a whopping 10% chance of winning something, and you will get not the prize you wanted among the 5 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

1) If you can put more than 10% of the total pool, GLT is useless since it won't bump your effective ticket count above that.
2) If you can put between 5.001 and 9.999% of the pool, the GLT will not be fully effective and your chances won't be doubled but multiplied by 1.999~ to 1.001~ times.
3) If you can put less than 5% of the total pool even with the full 20k, your odds will still be abysmal even with the ticket, you're bound to lose >90% of the time anyway.

And lemme tell you, the occasions where you can put 5% are very rare*.
Big lotteries will surpass that amount by many times, making your win chances close to zero, you'll just toss the ticket.
Smaller pools on the other hand, don't need the GLT since you can actually put more than 5% of the tickets just by using your GP.
