QUOTE(BlueWaterSplash @ Mar 14 2020, 09:18) I used to have like 0.5 t/s but multiple internet improvements in my area brought me up to 2.5 t/s and at this point my PC and browser are bottlenecking me. I recently installed Chrome and it brought me up to 2.7 t/s and even then, I can tell my speed should be 3+ t/s but it is my PC that is too slow. Because on Chrome my turns/second is extremely variable and my computer regularly chugs up and can't handle it (it's 3+ t/s between chugs).
So I still use Firefox to play this game, it's a bit slower but the turns/second is only moderately variable, which is what I'm used to.
By the way since you aren't always around (same with me) you might not have noticed, but at some point in time a bronze star became the most valuable upgrade one can get. Something changed.
I moved away from firefox because of a few annoyances I have with them. I'm similarly also getting 2.7~ t/s since I started using chrome portable, rather than my main browser. I have nothing instaleld on it except monsterbation, no adblockers or anything, and that gives me the most stable times. Sometimes theres a bit of lag, though it's rare enuogh (days apart) that I suspect it's on HV end. I've moved away from youtube playlists to listen to while playing, to playing music offline, and not on the computer I'm playing with. Absolutely every unneeded process gets disabled, except for mIRC and discord, and even then, I still can't get 3.0 t/s (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I suspect I could if I OFC'd rather than vital striked, since no matter how efficiently I've set it up, there's always a bit of delay in changing targets (due to my targeting strategy, if I didn't care for the targets I'm quick enough to spot stun and vs in the gap of the turn, with no or almost 0 t/s loss), but ofc gains me tonnes of turns, so I dont do it lol. To keep on topic: The last thing Ive not accomplished...failing to stick to my plan for more than 2 days...I've slowed down my playing recently, but at least wanted to do dwd + TT + RE's every single day so I dont get rusty and to keep a small daily income...and 2 days in I ran out of time and missed it lol

Soon Uncle will have 12345 attack base damage...
By the way my reported t/s are for regular arenas, so I'm usually slightly slower for school girl arenas. Although lately that has not been the case, and my fastest school girl times had the same t/s as regular arenas. There is significant speed lost in doing Vital Strike or toggling Spirit Stance (avoided if possible) but the speed is regained from the times I am beating down school girls (less sweeping of regular monsters in such arenas).
With a shortsword it might be different though. I would expect my t/s to drop further due to using Imperil (I don't use it) although the finishing turns and time would be better.

My solution to vital striking was to have hover attack only enabled when a key is pressed, that key is on the side of my mouse, where my thumb rests. The key above that is my vital strike key, so what do, is the moment a stun appears, I can roll my thumb from the hover key, onto the vital strike key, and back again, and vital strike quick enough that there won't be any t/s loss. I get a loss due to hesitation and switching targets. I have spirit stance on right click, so don't lose any there either. Using imperil doesn't change t/s much, since imperiling itself is a turn, so its not like a delay to do something between actions or anything. My t/s is 2.74-2.75 often, even with imperilling, my best t/s I can see from recent dwd's is 2.78. For what it's worth, I don't lose t's attacking normal mobs except on 1 sg arenas and some of the 2 sg arenas, on 3sg arena's they are dead before the SG's are through counters. My current strategy (for sg arenas) heavily replies on oc management, and so despite hating to admit this, lately I've been considering if rapier might beat short sword (only on sg arenas), by reducing amount of turn waste from when outside of spirit stance (using imperil with the rapier too). For fests, IW, and none sg areans, I'd take the shortsword anyday though.

Started investing in Hath perks, unlocked Innate Arcana I + II and Crystarium I (already bought Postage Paid a while ago). My Monster lab is also doing good: 12 actives between PL.26 to 40 (with a few battles won/killing blows!) and 3 more to be named soon.

Vigorous Vitality would have been a much better investment then Crystarium I, imo.

That depends. VV does increase your survivability, while Crys I does increase your income.

Well, I hesitated a while about what perks to unlock, but as I get more crystal drops than I end up in near death situations, I chose Crystarium since I'm in need of crystals for upping monsters.

Tokenizer would have been a better choice, if you want to upgrade your monsters. Having a bigger army of low PL would bring you waaay enough valuable materials and bindings that would help you to just buy the crystals you'd need. Or the happy pills once they become more efficient cost-wise. Crystarium is mostly for hard Grindfest players. You haven't made an error, still. It's more like getting more tokens is a higher priority, even though the Tokenizer perks are more expensive.

That's a good point, didn't think about it this way. I was more focused on the crystal cost of maintaining the morale of the active monsters while upgrade the new ones to PL.25 quickly, but the increasing token cost for slots will indeed slow the growth of monster creation. If needed, I'll sell the crystal surplus to get Tokenizer then (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

So this weekend i did reached prof factor 0.984. For everyone who doesnt know 1.0 is the goal. So i was happy but then i did a mistake, i did switch my cloth robe for a phase one and my phase shoes for cloth shoes. Baam i did fall down to 0.880. Welp, okay lets forge the prof on your staff, that should help. Fully forge holy prof on staff and baam. I did reach 0.894. Okay, lets invest some materials into those cloth pieces. And after spending nearly all credits i had, i did reach 0.942. And i thought i was nearly done. Now i am broke, weaker as before, but i did as i was suggested to do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Mages are often out of credits, yeah. Forging is so expensive! But, this set-up will have higher base EDB, probably. If not, revert to what you had. That EDB is very useful when fully forged.

I did it! Took 1155 PAs to get the last 6 PABs. Shrined countless tier 8 and tier 7 trophies with no success. Thought snowflake would give me a gift at 500 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
