Spent some time learning the Path of the Turtle, and decided to put my knowledge to the test. At level 307, I started DwD on PFUDOR. I had never cleared DwD before, and had only cleared ED on Hell, but I wanted a challenge worthy of my skills. It required much endurance, and I nearly ran out of patience, but my training paid off...

As a master of the Path of the Turtle, I was able to tank everything thrown at me - random mobs, school girls, even dragons - without using even a single potion. Enemies fell slowly, but they were simply no match for my unbreakable defenses. Though my equipment was certainly Exquisite (and some a bit better), the factor that most contributed to my victory was my immense Focus; over the roughly 110 battles that each took more than 500 turns, it was truly my Focus that enabled me to survive as my enemies were Weakened before me. And so it is that I am able to stand before you now, a true master of the Path of the Turtle, and newly titled Dovahkiin.

BTW, this took 4 real-time days to complete (not constant play, of course); I do NOT recommend trying PFUDOR as your first run of DwD, nor of using turtle tactics to get through it. Takes far too long for far too little reward.

Took long enough even though I easy modo'd it at the minimum difficulty necessary to get the title. I don't have nearly enough damage output given my level of patience to PFUDOR it, even this took longer then I'd bother with except for the tile and being able to have done it once. At least I can check that one off the list (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

PFUDOR'd everything up to Trio and the Tree. Final 3 will be another story though.

Like this, I still have a long long ways to go (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif). Though I can grind through in the end, DwD even on much lower difficulties still takes me ages.
