Tried to use a partial Heavy set to IW a legendary piece of my light armor, but it sucked too badly after all.
I guess a more effective solution would be to wait for not too crappy substitute light armor pieces, and use them for the IW of the piece they replace (I wanted to try with the head part, before realizing the replaced one was already level 10 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

Well in the end, it's only casual IW on slightly less casual (but not by much) equipment, not one of the perfectionist accomplishment of the experts on 100M+ worth equipments (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) , so not much of a loss.

Isn't it that for a non-GS player you get 1 more karma every day and for GS player you get double? (only if you log in/play I guess) Or maybe the karma you have also affect it?

Therefore, there must be something else that influences the slow initial gain of karma points. Perhaps the amount of karma sent and/or received, the age of the account, or the mod power. Did you mix up different armors? I hope not. Your abilities make a big part of your style.

Anyway, the best solution is to keep your whole best equipment and replace the piece you're IWing with anything that still matches the style.
If the remaining gear is good, it shouldn't be a problem, running IW.

Mixing is bad, and using another style with bad pieces is probably even worse.


When I re-Iw'd my Force Shield, I bought a high level (463 iirc) SDE Mag Force Shield with almost MMax block for 10k from AssSpanker and I forged it to 10, soulbound it (I was lv 455 iirc), and used that to IW my Leg one. (the shield was HGW, so he made a good deal! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )
A little less smooth play in PFUDOR IW100, but never risked to die, nor sparked.
After I finished the IW, I just salvaged and got back everything but 1 DMM, 1 Barrier Binding and few low and mid grades.
In the end it just costed me around 35k of materials and some soul fragments.

In your case just buy a random high level leg shade for 5k, soulfuse it, and equip it with your other light pieces, and you shouldn't feel much of a difference.
After the job you can scrap it.

Well, after a quick look at your signature, i feel a bit stupid to not notice it. I mean in truth you are a collector for a while now. I allways had only one set to play with and that was it. Never did see the point in collecting anything in this game.

No, but he can give 1000 + 409 without waiting for it to recharge, you're capped on what you can imbue in one go, but your actual max can be higher.
