QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Oct 31 2019, 03:50) First time a monster of mine brings 7 gifts! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/RFZYoYY.jpg) Does anyone out there know the maximum number of gifts a monster can bring? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) As long as they are happy and well fed, they can bring home the bacon with every win. So if you ignore them for a while, and return after a couple of days, they may bring you shitloads of gifts, limited to set of gifts per hour. So, if you can keep them active for 5 days, and you would have the only pl2225 monsters, they bring on average 2.6 gifts per hour, that makes.... ehm... a lot of gifts. From the wiki: QUOTE The chance to receive a gift is based on how many battles a monster has won since they last delivered a gift, modified by their morale (updated dynamically; a monster that goes from yellow morale to green may bring a gift immediately[1]; visiting the monster list is necessary). A monster can give gifts up to once per hour. Monsters will automatically earn gifts if they have not earned one in the past 72 hours.

From the wiki:
I can attest that 1 win is not 1 gift - it only seems to increase to chance of one, not guarantee one. Also, the most items they can give at once, as far as I know, is 9 (which is 3 gifts with their maximum yield, stockpiled). The above information is given on an 'as far as I know / have observed' basis, because the wiki details are not completely clear on how gifts are handled for high-level, high-factor monsters imo.

Really, wiki is not very clear about this. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) In my case, I only open Monster Lab once a day, at about the same time. Even so, it is hardly possible for the same monster to bring gifts two days in a row. And everyone is always in "green" condition. If I'm not mistaken, at the time of version 0.84 I saw someone posting a picture of a monster bringing over 10 gifts. That's why I asked how much would be possible at one go.

It might be possible, but I've never seen it happen. My 1530s bring back gifts about once a day. Fist of the Porn Star maybe 2-3 times a day, if lucky. Sometimes they bring what is clearly multiple gifts at the same time even though I check very regularly. There is no rhyme or reason to the monster lab. It just works. Who knows what mysteries go on under the hood? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

So theoretically, you can have a win every hour, but your monsters are not in every round that is played. In practice, it depends on the 'competition' - if you have lots of 2250 monsters, you will get more wins because your monsters participate more often. It gets more and more unlikely that you get gifts every hour, because there is more and more competition. And in one go - that depends on the number of wins since the last time you checked. Really, that's not a very useful metric at all!

The most important thing about monsterlab is to motivate your monster. QUOTE It puts the phazon in my inventory or else it gets the hose again. That usually gets to them. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Level 489 from Dawn of a New Day.
Even playing on PFUDOR, battles only earn about 5 billion EXP per day.

Nice, Merciful blow is so fun. I was going to look at if merciful blow + shortsword (bleeding effect) was viable to improve clear times on SG arena's, but never got round to it. Not sure the extra OC cost would make it worth it, though it has the same cooldown.

my most hateful and bloodthirsty strike unit is operational... for now. well, it's a blunt weapon, so that would make it... bonethirsty? i had names ready for each element and was going to accept O5F4 or O4F5, as they are close enough on paper that it will take some empiricism to determine the true optimum
