I need motivation to change into mage ~ if mage don't need that jug5 for all phase/cloth slots ~ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

That's why i wanna quickly become a mage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I want to quickly start trying out DW, but Snowflake is blessing me with wrong potencies and too little Amnesias. Last run of my Wakizashi went FFOFFFB, damn Butcher ruined it again and now I need 7 Amnesias for reset. Only 6 to go, at this rate I will get the Amnesias some time next year, hopefully before summer. I feel reluctant about trying DW without at least Overpower 4, because parrying is sometimes tough on my nerves even with 1H.

Melee with that kinda t/s is simply unbearable.

I have decent enough t/s, but my attack damage with 1H is waaay to low (5165 base) at the moment, mostly because I'm using light armor. For example it can take up to 15-20 turns to kill a single high PL high HP monster on PFUDOR with some parries, and that's with Spirit Stance and Heartseeker on. My attack damage is falling behind all the time as the monster health rises, which is starting to get a bit frustrating. I thought higher levels would make me stronger.

just FYI, this is my offhand waki: Fat5 is very good, OP2 is good, But2 is bearable. should i have wasted such IW only for a couple But levels? afterall it's still bonus ADB (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

also, consider that OP is added multiplicatively, so one more level doesn't add as much as one may think

What build?
I'm currently working towards being a fire mage.
Quite recently secured a good staff from super-senpai. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Now i just need a bunch of Surtr phase, lots of amnesia shards and tons of patience.

Yeah, mainly levels and soul fragment restraint.
The staff i bought is level 424, so its gonna take me quite awhile to collect those fragments.
As for Surtr phases, i currently don't have enough credits to pursue them yet (just paid for the staff).
So it looks like i'm gonna stay melee for long while. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I know, excessive optimization is dumb, but I feel safer to install only a single script on my "arena ready" Firefox, with every useless option disabled (no logs, no stats etc etc).
It works pretty well because I have a gaming mouse with the extra buttons binded to the spells I use (consumables and gems already have single key shortcuts).

didn't you have it yet? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

however it's quite worth of an investment: for 1H it allows yhou to basically cast only Regn and Heartseeker, while for DW it's almost mandatory - and still you'd need another slot. i guess for mages it's even more useful
