I dinged lvl 396 recently, does that count? Feels like these last couple of levels are taking forever, but that just makes it all the sweeter (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

instead of using weaken to make deeper rounds manageable, i harnessed the power of in-battle profile hotswapping to switch from gamma cannon to z-wave barrage stance after round 500: ragnarok removed from hover rotation, hover disabled at start of round and this little device bound to right click:

right click to fire off ragnarok and initiate hover at the beginning of each round, killing and/or crippling enough monsters to make the whole run survivable

oh, and the real boner is that i did it all wearing five pieces of radiant phase. i will elaborate on this once i have gathered more data

I can't seem to figure out the settings to use the profile hotswapping in battle... Could you perhaps post your settings for that?

i created several equipment set profiles. gamma cannon is the one selected by default on my dark set



after round 500, i hit the key bound to Settings (default is P), pick the other profile from the drop-down menu and hit Set to activated it



even if you have it set up to switch profiles automatically, a profile activated in this manner will persist until the next time you change persona or bring up the equipment page

I broke the damn thing!

I open the setting pressing 'O'
I try to type Strongest, but at 'o' it reloads the settings.... facepalm

then I try to copy paste the setting. It automatically reverted to [basic]

It had a typo. So the script doesn't run anymore. So I can't access the bloody settings....

How can I recover this? I can't find any of it in the script

uhh... i guess i expected users to do all the typing outside battle and use the interface in battle only for quick adjustments. this should be fixed with the next update, but for now you can bind Settings to an unused key, such as KEY_PAGEUP

but first you can try fixing it via the interface outside combat. it shows up under the character menu, but you may have to temporarily disable utils if you use a version that replaces the default menu, or use one of the fixes proposed here. this, too, is something i want to simplify in the future

Right, got it fixed. Yeah, I should do the settings outside combat, they don't seem to work in combat (or at least I can't get it working). Funny thing is, I can't get the outside battle link working at all, even with HV utils disabled, I get nothing. Weird, no?

Edit: I get the link when I open HV in a new tab, not when I open in new window which I usually do.

It doesn't sound so bad now. Despite the prospect of overflow later on, low leveled player need a lot of soul fragments.

Since Soulfrags cannot be traded, it all depends if you use what you get from it, or not.

If you have enough with normal playing and REs, then it's useless. But not for me.

I'm here for the long run, and for the end of this year I plan to be merely around lv.310 .
By then this perk will have given me about (360-120)*10 = 2400 Soulfrags @1000c each.
It's payoff (@ current Hath price) is 2M, that means 2000 Soulfrags = 200 days.

A little less then a year, and before year end it will start to have a positive return (if I still have a use for Soulfrags by then, which I believe I'll have).

I've put some thought in these, believe me ! I wasn't squandering 500 Haths just 'cause I didn't know what to do with them (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Keep in mind that soulfusing is a kind of countermeasure, so resurrected botters can't equip full peerless immediately at lv0. Or something like that.

Though letting peerlesses be dropable at low level is kinda dumb i think.

re: Soul Catcher, it's not just bad because of how long it takes to pay off, but also because of how slowly it's delivered... you're essentially saying that you're going to need every soul fragment possible for the next 6 months, including all the ones you'll be getting from REs along the way, and then AFTER that point (when it starts to actually be a profitable choice) you'll still need even more. And you'll have to wait for those, too.

In other words... are you going to need more than 2000 (because, you could've just bought that many) extra soul fragments, on top of RE income, in 6 months time? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
