I suck royally. My hope is to suck less in the future.

My problem has always been working on Saturday morning.
I'm rarely around at the end of an auction.
And I NEVER had a self drop or won the right auctions.
I buy the cheap auctions or I'd rarely place at all.

Assimilator is the secret behind my insame depr prof that is 40 levels above me.
And I'm planning on getting Assimilator to 20 once I acquired the last parts of my dark set.

Here's my situation:

I have assimilator 15 a while ago, but my proficiency is "only" 31.877 levels above.

In addition to assimilator, there are 2 other factors that contribute to proficiency gain.

(1) As proficiency gain is linked to experience gain, and it increases exponentially (or something like that), the lower the player's level, the greater the gain in proficiency. Thus, the greater your current proficiency, the more difficult it is to continue to rise at the same pace. This is where the assimilator factor comes in.

(2) The amount of experience each one earns here is different. The greater the number of experience multipliers, the greater the gain in proficiency. That's why someone with Gold Star gains proficiency faster than someone without a star, even with a lower level of assimilator.

Having said that, if anyone here intends to reach the 600 of proficiency, it is good to start thinking seriously about having 10 stars (+ Assimilator 25). (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Oh, and Top List Bonus also helps. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) And get ready to play for a long time. Well proficiency on 1H's is probably quite less effective than on mages.

If planning to keep doing 1H for a long time, imo higher assimilator levels not really worth it (unless it's your goal like uncle's). As you gain faster proficiency / have higher proficiency relative to your level, the benefit per proficiency gain booster kind of gets lower and lower (until it caps out).

Though for mages might be very worthwhile, since rather than close to linear scaling for 1H, proficiency on mages scales much better.

Next level would cost 2,608,491.
Reassuring that it didn't double (lvl 15 was already in 2~3M range), but still, not planning on going after it for now.

You're forgetting that XP gain also increases the pace at which a player levels up, which negates the positive effect it has on proficiency.
The only ones for whom it's true are Lvl500.

My 1h, Heavy and Supporting proficiency is 495 and it has been 11 levels above my level since when I stopped playing daily arenas.
Don't really need extra proficiency.

Kept seeing people talking about how they took all exp boosters and stuff, and the pressure finally made me get all exp boosters haths can buy.
Will see if it's a good thing or not over time.
For the haths, I think my future computer should run H@H, so it should compensate eventually, to some extent.
