I realized that I can still test Demon Duality stacking after all, by instead verifying the Heartseeker bonus. If stacking is additive the Heartseeker bonus should become less. So here goes.

Conclusion: Heartseeker (+25%), Overwhelming Strikes (+15%), Spirit Stance (+100%), and Demon Duality indeed all stack in multiplicative layers. There is no loss due to additive stacking, aside from Demon Duality with itself. I will test Godslayer on the next day by turning myself into Newbie.

And what about crits? Why do they not appear in your list? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

All drop trainings maxed, just need to get crys5 and token3 now. Might take a while though.

Crits don't appear because Void Strike can't crit, but that's exactly what I wanted for the purposes of this test.

Strangely, it appears that Godslayer boosts my damage output by 15.5% instead of 10% as stated, so the test is inconclusive. Can others test this?

Using different methods or scripts to gather data is fine, we just need to try to investigate Godslayer now.

What? That cant be. Let me check that. Oh, i guess you are right. The strikes dont crit themself but just the "normal" attack does.

It took me just over 3 hours. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) And I believe that, even if I had DD9 and a full forge Slaughter set, the best I could get would be something around 2h 45min. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Uncle, the strikes were always that way. However until last year they used to say they crit in the battle log, even though their actual damage was not changed. I think either 0.85~0.86 or Monsterbation fixed the display.

Today my Godslayer damage is lower, so I figured out what was going on with it. Godslayer is just the normal 10% damage increase, layered multiplicatively and not additively with Demon Duality.

But yesterday was Friday. Apparently Friday boosts all elements by 5% and this includes void damage. And probably includes your main damage and counter attacks, not just void strike. No wonder my DwD times have always been best on Friday.

Anyone doing speedruns should perform them on Friday. On the other hand be cautioned that if monsters get the same boost, you are most likely to die on Fridays.
