I'm not sure which of us has more powerful equipment for offense. I have 3 max forged stuff while the rest is still temporary. I did get DD1 a few days ago. It's very noticeable to me in regular arenas and I expected to improve DwD by another 500 turns but it did not improve at all, so I have to try again before I post it.
I also just got IA4 whereas I never had IA before. But the way I play, Innate Arcana does not change much. I still cast everything manually most of the time, so I can get Channeling for both Heartseeker and Regen.

QUOTE(decondelite @ Nov 28 2018, 14:35) (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/9uUrPcj.png) Not bad at all for a 1st time. ^^ Really impressive imo. More so being a first try. Can I see your set? or at least can you say how many levels of forge you have on each piece? DD levels? The last time I saw a time like that was from a player with a good amount of time being a mage with DDI and his set forged to 15 on each piece on average (phase only, cottons much more upgraded). t/s was similar.

DD5, roughly forge 10 for the armor, 15 for the staff (30 for the MDB). 3 radiants (cap+gloves+leggings) and 2 cotton (robe+shoes). I'm still missing a radiant robe to go full power against the SGs, but I'll definitely keep the cotton robe for regular arenas, as having a very high prof factor is very handy to brute force monsters that didn't get imperiled.
All of my equipments are far from being optimal, except the cotton robe that is peerless. I consider that investing a shitload in these is unnecessary, as I'll switch to dark mage later anyway.

Ok, thanks for answering. DD5 huh? I can only dream of getting it for myself. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New record PFUDOR DWD 17:47. (I'll probably stop posting new ones until I get to sub 15). btw theres isn't much difference in number of turns 2,477 to 2,439 (but soon that will change and the gap will be wider), and t/s difference is abysmal too. QUOTE(-vincento- @ Nov 19 2018, 18:53) A try on dark day. PFD dwd. Almost less than 2k turns (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Dark Superiority, folks. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) 2166 turns today. I think forging is barely going to make significant difference. It's time to either save for a GS or DD3.... Mm ... you spent 120k on items, but got back no less than 165k on crystals, 45k credits, 50k on trash equips, you got back some of the consumables you used, 3 artifacts and a good amount of tokens. You got almost three times of what you invested to do it. In that sense I think it's worth the effort. On the other hand time-wise it could be seen as an unattractive (and not because I think you are slow) but still if I were you I would consider doing it at least one or two times a week if I have the time. Well that is just my opinion, and I'm usually missing something to take into account. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2 CP in one go. Ah, well that was a missunderstanding. I get around the same phazon per week and with enough luck a single protection per MONTH. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

The last 200 rounds are just stressful and frustrating for me. Monsters can spark me in two imperils so I have to keep my eyes on my vitals and items. I need literally 10 times of effort for the last quarter compared to the previous rounds. Do I lacking forge or it is common for mages?

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I saw your equipment the other day, but honestly I don't know. Iirc I saw on the expert's thread that the minimum to play "comfortably" PFDFest is 64-62 for physical/magical mitigation and 60 evade chance. If you already have that, more forging levels will help but I doubt the difference will make it much less frustrating. Probably someone else can give a better insight on this matter. Prof gain is extremly slow, so for wealthy mages any boost is good enough to pay millions
